So in a recent thread I've learned that this guy is tracking digital sales?  Can somebody explain if this is accurate?  And how is he doing it, can somebody, anybody explain this to me because I thought it was impossible to track digital sales.  And will he be bringing this to vgchartz if it is true?

Mr stickball does indeed track digital sales.. But he created his own company for that ( cant remember its name) so the numbers never come to this site..
He sometimes gives away freebies to us when we are nice..

How is he doing it though?  I just watched a video yesterday on why it is impossible or at least at the moment it isnt possible to track digital sells.  Now i want him to join up with vgchartz because ive been wanting that for a while but is it accurate and if so how is he doing it?

Why you not ask him? He is doing it for some time though. For the older members that is no news. I think I asked him myself some time ago..Going to check my wall =p.

Where do you see the numbers

I did, he signed offline and i dont know how active he is so i thought id ask everybody else since ive never heard of this.  Right now it just doesnt make sense to me but id love to see a cllaboration with him and vgchartz.  Arcade games like Minecraft, trials, journe, flower, the walking dead, limbo, castle crashers and several others has done very well and id love to see how much they have all sold.

He started showing XBLA sales a long time ago on VGC. He kept track of leaderboards, looked at mygamercard.net game ownerships and could thus get valuable informations. Furthermore quite some XBLA developers shared some sales informations so he could connect his estimations with real sales data.
I guess he could have also connections with some PSN/Steam/Android/iOS/XBLA developers who share sales informations of their games etc.
Also Sony and Microsoft release best selling PSN/XBLA lists (without numbers) which also helps.

Others will follow though it's supposed to be not as open as VGC AFAIK.
Also the site is in a fairly early state so expect some bugs within the numbers or descriptions etc.
