Forums - Nintendo - 60FPS HD trailer for Wonderful 101. Yes this game is 60fps.. not sure if 720 or 1080 though.

Weird, in Canada most new TVs are 1080p. I saw a really great LED screen for 600bucks are so.

OT: That game looks more and more appealing to me. The look and voice style kind of grates on me, but the visuals are outstanding. My favorite part is the end when they go down the waterslide...moving a group around like that could be great fun. The scenes in the sky on planes are also visually stunning, with the city flying buy in the background.

720p most likely, especially if it's true the game runs in 60FPS. Most of us can't play it in 1080 anyway as most HDTVs are 720

Welcome! Man from the past! Thou hast traveled to the year 2013! We mean you no harm!

I don't know what that's supposed to mean.  I'm just stating fact.  HD content, whether it be games, television, or movies is almost always 720p unless you're playing a PC game that was specifically designed to run natively in 1080p.  All television broadcasts are 720p, and all of the consoles run games natively 720p, and a lot of times even less.  The only time you're actually seeing something in true 1080p is if you're watching a Blu-Ray or HD video that was filmed in 1080.

United States.  Over here 1080p TVs are still really expensive and predominantly our standard for HD is 720, with all television broadcasts and games maxing out at that resolution.  The only thing that actually displays natively in 1080p is a Blu-Ray or HD video that was filmed in 1080p.  Most HDTVs bought and sold are still 720 althought that is gradually changing.  We're not there yet, though.

What are you talking about? I'm in the US too and I don't know anyone with a 720p TV....

In that case, you don't represent the vast majority of the population.

That may be, but that is not what you said in your original post. There you said "most HDTVs are 720" and that may have been true 5 years ago.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Looks freekin awesome.
60 fps is always welcome regardless of resolution.

Metal Gear Rising demo also runs at 60 fps btw... Platinum games seems to know where its at.

No, five years ago most people in the US didn't even have HDTVs.  At present, the majority of people that do own HDTVs have 720p sets.

Are you fucking kidding me.

1080p has been the standard on new TVs since like 2008 in US.

The fact you own a 720p is not the norm but either you bought HD when it was first coming out or simply didn't shop around well. I bougth my 1080p in feb2010 from costco in february (not a black friday deal) ... its a 46" Sony and was $750.

While its true broadcast is pretty much only in 720p, that does not mean the TVs themselves are.

lol, no "Full HD" screens have been the by far dominant kind of flatscreens for atleast 4 years now and are surely in the majority of TVs consumers homes, even in the US
