Looks freekin awesome.
60 fps is always welcome regardless of resolution.

Metal Gear Rising demo also runs at 60 fps btw... Platinum games seems to know where its at.

MGR uses dynamic resolution, the resolution drops to maintain 60fps.

Yeah but I'd take lower res for 60fps any day... As long as it isn't something like 360p upscalled to 720p and then upscalled to 1080p by the tv or something lol

Me too! I always lower res on pc to get higher fps :)

Yummy, yummy frames.

720p most likely, especially if it's true the game runs in 60FPS. Most of us can't play it in 1080 anyway as most HDTVs are 720

Where are you from? In Germany it's not even possi8ble anymore to buy 720p televisons over 24"

United States.  Over here 1080p TVs are still really expensive and predominantly our standard for HD is 720, with all television broadcasts and games maxing out at that resolution.  The only thing that actually displays natively in 1080p is a Blu-Ray or HD video that was filmed in 1080p.  Most HDTVs bought and sold are still 720 althought that is gradually changing.  We're not there yet, though.

You can buy a "VIZIO Smart 3D HD TV" (1080p at 32 inches) for $300 to $400 here in America. And it has a refresh rate of 120 (60 fps per image) like every 3D TV ever made since the 1930's.

Go out & buy one now and do a firmware update.

Smart 3D Blu-Ray players cost like $100 or so.

TV selection at various online retailers broken down by resolution.

Best Buy:
1080 - 384
720 - 155

Wal-Mart:
1080 - 128
720 - 41

HHGregg:
1080 - 126
720 - 26

NewEgg:
1080 - 298
720 - 82

Amazon:
1080 - 681
720 - 232

Frys:
1080 - 313
720 - 91

Tiger Direct:
1080 - 290
720 - 42

A few years, 720p TV's were likely the largest volume seller but that's certainly not the case today. However, it's possible that most in use are still 720p but no way to know outside of some questionable Nielsen type data.

It's an ongoing transition.  The fact that so many of these retailers are now offering so many 1080p models and phasing out 720s just proves my point that at present most people still do not yet own 1080p sets.  Most people are lower-middle class, they don't have $750 - $1000 to spend on a giant HDTV set with full 1080p.  We're talking about a population that still predominantly uses DVDs, which are standard-def.  Outside of the bubble we're in, as tech-junkies or whatever you wanna call it, most people don't know or care about 1080p, let alone want to pay for it.

Where is your source for this?  I use to work at best buy up till about three years ago and I can tell you from personal experience that it was more like 70% 1080p to 30% 720p sold at best buys...and that was three years ago...

also, you dont have to buy a giant tv to get 1080p... The reason all the content is in 720p is it compatible with the most tv sets that way as all 1080p tvs can also do 720p.  It doesnt actually mean that there are more 720p tvs out there.

Honestly, at this point in time, i believe there are more 1080p tvs out there than 720p.  Just tried googling it and couldnt really find any info on it so if you have a source please list it.  Otherwise, stop making stuff up!

Most Wii U games are 1080p and if this is a 1st Party game then it is guarantee to be 1080p.

But 60 fps isn't special because it's been around for as long as 3D films & 3D TVs, which is the 1930's for both.

Wonderful 101 has a great style (with the new bioshock the best this year)

but technically in 720p it shows nothing that ps360 can't do.

I hope it will be an evolution of pokemon.

(sorry-wrong thread.I've nothing to say about 1080p tv's ,except:Me and my family(parents etc)already bought 5 tv's(germany).
Every single tv has/had 1080 resolution.Even my 24" has 1080.Only 720 you may find is some old plasma crap from samsung/lg)

Both statements are wrong.
