do they all want ipad minis in the playground now,are these kind of things any use without the internet

i really am just a PC/console kind of guy,a dinosaur these days but a happy one

If my kid wants an iPad, he can damn well save up to it. No way I'd ever give him something that shallow and expensive, just because he wants it. I'll buy my kids quality, but if they want crap, they can save up themself.

There is 1000x as much fun to be had on an iPad mini compared to the WiiU right now. You, or rather he, made the right choice.

You can even play The Walking Dead on the iPad. Once it's jailbroken, he'll be able to use it as an emulator together with a controller (and preferably a book stand). It's an amazing device with some amazing games, not to mention productivity apps, books/comics, educational content, iTunes, iTunes U... Are you really that surprised he wanted it more than a WiiU?

Sounds like a good time to teach the kids the power of NO. ;) So few parents teach their kids that, thus why we everyone thinking they're entitled to everything!

But in all seriousness, invest in one of those military grade protective cases. Kids are prone to dropping things, and I've seen many ipads destroyed on a single drop.

Yes I think it is. But so is putting ice cream on pies in some States, and beastiality. But it still happens.

So I guess simply owning an Android device is illegal too?
