They definitely advertise.  They have just struggles in recent years on how to make a successful advertisement beyond the first few kevin butler advertisements.  I dont know how long they have had this problem or if it just has something to do with Japan advertising to the western market or what but I know they have had this problem since the infamous demonic baby ps3 commercials.

Still this is good news for sony.  Hopefully it will be successful

I thought the game was coming out in March o.O

The full reveal of the trailer is on feb 1st the game comes out on march 12.

110 million watch superbowl which would be 3.5 cent for every person for 30 seconds but there are obviously not 110m who will see the ad then and do something else so "real" number will be  higher.

They spent over $40m marketing Halo 4. i saw halo 4 ads everywhere even in my toilet.

We're talking about Halo 4, Dude!! but yeah Halo 4 probably cost more than Halo 3, maybe 60m?
