A lot of people who are fans of the franchise don't follow gaming news so they don't know about this game. Plus God of War is very popular in America you wanna know what else is popular in America too FOOTBALL so the 2 go along very well.

yea but what im trying to say is this one ad will not generate anywhere near enough sales to make up for it. they would be better off placing 50 ads at cheaper slots for probably less money.

110 million people are going to watch the Super Bowl, out of those 110 million 60 million+ will watch the ad. So it's easeir that way than go around wasting money on other TV shows/programs that don't have that kinda viewer ship.

I know but when I read Super Bowl I think the teaser have to be Epic... I can't see this teasers making any excitation in a Super Bowl show.

This tease had to be EPIC!!! But not... just meh.

Yeah well they aren't showing it during the actual superbowl on TV. You will only get to see the full ad if you are watching it on a specific stream. Last year the stream they are showing it on got 2.1 million viewers. If they were going to show it on TV like a commercial it would have been viewed by over 100m people...Sony dissaponts.

I think they shoulda spent that 4 million on other games, less known, but equally awesome games. Everyone and their cousin, knows about God of War. There's no need for a God of War ad campaign, unless it's for a new game, say for the Vita???!!! Otherwise, it's just a waste of time and money. I don't see how the little ad teaser (that was 17 seconds long) could possibly be indicating a PS4 announcement, but if you wanna reach 110 million people with a message that costs 4 million dollars, I'd rather it be on something like a brand new game with no notoriety or the next gaming console in line to replace the PS3. .....But that makes too much sense....It will be for GOW Ascension, and be a total waste of time and money, as usual.
