Forums - Sony - What changes do you want to see in the Dualshock 4?

A touchscreen and a button to have instant access to Sonyverse

Start with the base Dualshock 3, then:

-Make it larger (similar weight)

-Make L1 and R1 real triggers

-Remove L2 and R2

-Remove Six Axis Motion stuff (it should only be in Move controller, not Dualshock)

-Add a back touch pad that simulates the tactile feel of in-game surfaces

-Make the D-Pad identical the one on the Vita, but slightly larger

That is about as good as it can get, I think. Unless there is some small improvements to be had for the controller's grip (shape/texture/etc.) or analog sticks (shape/texture/tightness/deadzone/etc.) that I am overlooking. But yeah, the basics are still the same (if it ain't broke DON'T fix it).

The DPAD is excellent, it doesn't need change. I like the fact you don't accidentally press 2 buttons a once.

Nothing.

Maybe better triggers and the LEDs on the front, that's about it.

- Same size
- More custom rumble
- Less "plain" looking
- custom controller grips
- better d-pad
- longer battery life
