I think you're slightly misinterpreting the page.

It's the page for 2013~ - which means 2013 and later. If you look at games like Tomb Raider, it says this:

発売日:2013年発売予定

This says that it's set for release in 2013 - specifically, 発売日 means "Release Date", and 2013年発売予定 means "Will be released in 2013". The next two on the list (Gyrozetter and FF Lightning Returns) also have this. Now look at FFV XIII and The Last Remnant:

Here, 未定 means "Undecided", and can basically be interpreted as TBA or TBD.

The reason why it seems to keep being moved forward a year is that the current year is where all the TBA/TBD games are put.



Man, I wish I took some print screen of the website back on January 15, 2013. Back then, there wasn't even a "2013~" page yet and all the 2013 releases were still on the "2012~" page. What I'm basically saying is that a "2013~" page was created by a staff member only recently and they moved TLR for PS3 into this category instead of just removing the listing from the website. If SQEX are still refusing to remove TLR for PS3 from their site, then maybe there's a small chance it may one day be released on the platform.

It was okay if you installed it on the X360 though. I tried to enjoy it but I think I spend like 20 hours in one of the first dungeouns/castles because random battles tooke so long to finish...

Yeah, I watched 5 hours of a PC walkthrough and the battles do look long. However, I like the game's battle system.

I know i mentioned it before, but the PC version has a Turbo Mode which alleviates the issue.

You don't understand. The page isn't being manually made by some staff member. It's automated from their database. The Last Remnant remains in their database listed as "Undecided", and so when they instruct the site to update to 2013, TLR gets moved up to the new page.

That's how most websites do it. Kind of like how, for instance, VGChartz still has a page for Metro Last Light Wii U - the game has been confirmed to be cancelled (the Wii U version, that is), but nobody bothered to go and update the database to remove it. It still shows up when you search for "Wii U" games, not because someone specifically instructed the site to include Metro Last Light for Wii U, but because the site pulls information from the database, which hasn't been updated.

You probably don't remember, but Project H.A.M.M.E.R was still listed on Nintendo's Wii site, despite already having been confirmed as being cancelled, for about two years. It wasn't by design - they simply hadn't actually removed it from the database, so it still showed up.

If you were to contact Square Enix and ask them about it, they'd probably go "Oops, we haven't removed it from the database yet", and within a couple of days, it would disappear.

Well, they've removed a cancelled game from the list in the past. Therefore they have left TLR on the website deliberately.

They announced a TPS called Gun Loco at GamesCom in August 2010 and then cancelled it in March 2011. When they cancelled it, they removed the listing off the website. With TLR, the listing is still there and continually being moved from year to year like FF Versus XIII. If they outright cancelled Gun Loco an removed it from the list, why not TLR?

All it takes is an oversight - the game gets put on hold, it's left in the database intentionally at that point, then it gets cancelled, but because it was on hold already, nobody thinks to remove the game from the database.

In short, the obvious reason for it still being on the list is human error.

I don't know, man. I still think there's a reason the game is still listed on the website. You're reasons make sense, though. I guess I'm just being blindly optimistic. after all, besides the FFXIII games, what other internally developed JRPGs have Square Enix released o PS3? None.

TLR may be a flawed game with technical issues, but there's a chance all the flaws and technical issues will be fixed in the PS3 version. Also, bonus content could be added such as new locations, items, party members, cutscenes, side-quests and mini-games. It will be worth the purchase if it ever comes to PS3, no matter how late that ends up being.
