God Of War 3. it simply blew my mind away

really? your probably the first person i ever heard say that. most people say that they are dissapointed by final fantasy this gen and the rest say it was good but i never heard anyone say it lived up to the hype

The hype around the graphics - The hype around all the perfection this game should have.
It was totally x2 in every aspect at the end.This is the game of the Gen for now.

Easy as that.Will be replaced by The Last of Us soon probably.
The only game that will define a whole Gen completely new and will be a stepping stone for future games in terms of AI,graphics,atmosphere,story telling and the whole concept to define a normally pretty lame and dying Genre.

Dead Space.

The fact that it was actually a decent game surprised me.

Halo 4, and it exceeded my expectations.

Mass Effect 3 (even better with the extended ending)
LoZ : Skyward Sword (amazing)
Dead Space 2 (even more necromorph goodness)
SSBB (Melee was amazing and this was even better, plus I & all in Europe had to wait ages after everyone else coz of the release dates)

If I had to pick one it would be ME3. I was already super, jumping on the spot hyped, but it was awesome.
