But we all know two Gamepads brings down the FPS. (Or something like that.)

But does it truly matter? I think it won't matter for games like this or Madden, etc. I also dont' think the greater majority of people notice a difference between 30fps and 60fps.

I was joking, because I agree with that statement.

But, I agree with JoeTheBro. Should this really be a 160$ plus game?

You're probably right, even if double screen gaming is pointless in this game.

How is it pointless? Have you not played pikmin2?

Different users with their own pikmin can and will need to be doing different things at opposite sides of the map.

Have you heard of split screen? I'd rather do that and use wii motes instead of turning this into a $160 game.

ummm no. I'd rather have my owns screen and still use wiimotes. Especially if you have a small TV. (I don't but just saying)

On top of that, the dual gamepad will likely be used in many other games too. So, yeah.

Nobody will want to buy a 2nd gamepad for 100$.

and for only one game so far.

Only WiiU owners with WiiU owning friends would profit from such a move.

I'm sure sport games like madden will have support as well multiple other games by the holidays.

Plus, did we all forget how well the balance board or kinect sold?

The problem here is that Nintendo said at E3 that Pikmin 3 was going to emphasize Wii-style controls.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

That's something I personally do not like. We've already played Pikmin Games with WiiMotes before.

I don't think two game pads really fits with what Nintendo wants anyway.

Two gamepads taking up all that space in the living room is probably a no-no for Nintendo.

One of the big things with the Wii was getting it wireless to reduce "complaints from mom" about controller wires mucking up the living room.

With all these Wiimotes, multiple Wii U tablets, Classic Controllers, etc. that's just getting out of hand now lol.

I don't think Nintendo will push multi-controller play as a major feature.

Wiimotes work with the game pad in the exact same fashion as tv... plus you can also use dual analog. Its your choice. So 1-2 playerson gamepad(s) and 1 player on TV.. all three using either dual analog or wimotes.

I am skeptical. I think it's completely feasible to have two player gameplay with one gamepad and one wiimote/nunchuck combination. And I think it would still work well.

It would. But we know Nintendo will push out dual gamepad play. We know there are three usable characters in Pikmin3. Just kinda see this as a solid way to demonstrate more gamepad usefulness as well as a good first party to show off dual gamepads.

Especially the idea that you can even play two players and keep TV off. I really like the off-TV gameplay on the games we have so far. My family uses it a lot.
