Forums - Nintendo - Third party games I hope come to wii u

I don't expect much third party support to be honest, especially with these awful sales numbers rolling in, no doubt third parties are seeing them too.

The sales may be low now, but they won't stay that way.  I'm not convinced that third parties will just up and abandon the system right away.  There is still time for Nintendo to right the ship.

They would actually have to be on the ship first to abandon it, most of them were never on the ship to begin with. Just a bunch of wishful thinking. Crysis 3 was never in development for Wii U. Neither was GTAV. Or MG Rising. Or Bioshock. etc. etc. etc. etc.

And it looks like Black Ops 2 and Assassin's Creed 3 have sold like total and complete garbage on the Wii U. I don't see anyone being in a rush to develop for this thing when there's two similar platforms in the 360/PS3 that have 150 million users already. Unless you have some game idea that's just dying for a second screen, there's little to no point.

Sales figures are the deciding factor are they? Lets ignore nintendo are publishing games. Lets ignore they pay higher royalties. Lets ignore they approve patches for free when the others charge. Lets ignore the collaborations they are doing.

Sales figures are naturally low because they are late ports and wii u is getting off the ground. Nintendo is making a lot more friends with people this time and that helps them. One company they are getting on with is tecmo. Microsoft however have had several fallings out this gen including with their own first party studios.

It isn't about sales figures that pop up. Its about whats going on behind the scenes.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D

I'm in no mood to deal with replies like this.  I am taking a vacation from these forums.  I don't believe that my thoughts are just wishful thinking and that's that.

I think GTA V, Mass Effect Trilogy and even Watch Dogs will find their way over. The others are more hit-and-miss...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It's a business, not a charity dealing with lollipops and candy. Black Ops 2 and Assassin's Creed 3 are not really late ports like Batman and they've both tanked on the Wii U.

Nintendo may like Tecmo just swell, but Ninja Gaiden 3 is selling worse than expired milk at the supermarket.

Nintendo needs to drop the price dramatically and get Mario Kart out as fast as possible, otherwise they are going to be sucking gas at 50k/hardware a week until fall. Pikmin and Wii Fit (old news) is not going to change anything, they better have something genuinely *big* by summer time at least.

That's not totally true; if the costs for ports are correct, then sales of about 50k would make a profit of 1.5 million dollars.  And considering that Black Ops II, Assassin's Creed III, and even Batman Arkham City all crossed the 100k mark, I'm sure all three have made their money back.  So that's hardly tanking.  Plus they are showing legs.

Now Ninja Gaiden III I can see it having problems, but that game was already badly received to begin with, and it would take time for a franchise like NG to be repaired.

The garbage Call of Duty on the Vita is outselling the Wii U Black Ops 2.

Nintendo has no foothold with this audience any more at all, they've completely burned all bridges and basically handed all that audience away to Sony and Microsoft.

That's really what's happened.

Well I won't give up hope.  And with that, I am outta these forums.  I'm tired dealing with naysayers.

I'm only interested in Watch Dogs and Splinter Cell. If I find other games interesting, like Bioshock Infinite (which I actually don't find interesting, but I enjoyed the other 2 entries, so what the hell) I have no problem getting them on PC.

Do you think Wii U can realistically run Watch Dogs?  I thought it was targeted as next-gen?
