With Wii they ran out of titles early. With 3DS, unfortunately, we all thought when Iwata spoke of the lessons he learned from 3DS was more focused on the lack of first party titles during launch. But he did mention that not having the system launch during the holiday season was regrettable. So perhaps that explains the rush to launch in time for the holidays, with the hardware ready but firmware NOT and software lagging ao much that Nintendo redefined launch period ...to the tune of almost 6 months.
The silence could just precipitate ....a relaunch of the launch window. - For the Wii U, we have decided to include the upcoming Summer season as part of our effort to bring truly innovative experience, empathy, if you want to call it that, to players of all ages, from 5 to 95. During this Launch Window R, please look forward to many exciting things to come.
