Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo is silent for a reason

After a thread becomes so huge, it's silly to expect everyone to read it in its entirety. The OP is supposed to fully explain your point of view . Not only is it convenient for others, but it also makes your points stronger by grouping them all in a single cohesive post.

*moan*

I guess I could do that for you. Just realize I am putting in the effort that you would put in if you were honestly interested.

Edit: screw that, I have no energy to.

Back on topic: There is Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, FZero, Fatal Frame (the fourth was a Wii exclusive, right?), Eternal Darkness, Punch Out, Pilotwings and donkey Kong. Some of these must be coming.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Just wait until E3, Nintendo will bring out there big guns

They are holding off on games and announcements until the other systems are announced. That's when they'll want a drumbeat of announcements and games to combat the hype leading up to those systems being launched.

I would still love to see something like "The Legend of Paper Zelda". That would be a fun title for ALL players.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo has ace's up their sleeves and they have the money to make it happen unlike Sony. The Wii U will be a sucess. They will make sure it is, just like they did with the 3DS.

With that said, they should be more open with their plans so people can feel more hyped and motivated to buy the system.

Only two posts into the thread and somebody brings up a competitor.  I wish this forum wasn't like this.  Everything always has to be in the context of Nintendo fighting Microsoft fighting Sony.

Why are you that sensitive to it? Its a similar situation, i was stating that unlike Sony, Nintendo has conditions to revert the situation. Why does it always have to be console/fanboy wars?

I want to get a Vita a PS3 and a Wii U this year. None of this stops me from beeing critical to all companies.

I'm not "sensitive to it".  It's over the top throughout the forms.  It's one thing in a thread that is designed for it.  It's another when it sneaks into EVERY. SINGLE. THREAD.

It's a problem because it puts off newcomers and makes others leave.  Then it will just be you, kowenicki and turkish arguing with each other.

I see. It would be best to have a Sony religious sect.

Sorry, im gonna keep beeing critical to whatever company deserves the criticism and i will use the examples i decide are oportune to each situation. I am not violiting any forum rules for stating a logical analysis.

I think Nintendo got afraid to hype the games in advance - like they did with 3DS (Luigi`s Mansion, Kid Icarus, for example).
In 2007, Nintendo released some big games for Wii: Mario Party 8, Wii Fit, Super Mario Galaxy, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Super Paper Mario, Mario Strikers Charged and Metroid Prime 3.

So far, the biggest titles are Pikmin 3 and Lego City. Here`s hoping the next Nintendo Direct announces some big titles like Splinter Cell and GTA V.

Let`s see what Nintendo has in store for this year. But given it will have to compete with one or two new consoles, it will need some big titles.

Isn't Bayonetta 2 expected to release this year? There's The Wonderful 101 and Rayman Legends as well. They're sure to announce a few big hitters at E3 as well.

It is. 1st halp of this year, i believe.
My fear is that the big hitters will arrive only on the second half and i`m honestly not seeing another mario so soon. If there`s a Zelda, my guess is that it`s for 3DS. Mario Kart? Super Smash Brothers? Donkey Kong Returns 2?
At least they will have the next Call of Duty and of all the new generation platforms, it will have the biggest userbase which will be good for Nintendo.

Wii pratically didn`t it because it was sold out after launch, but Wii U needs big titles and it needs them fast.
The next best month for Wii U is only in March.

As much as I hate to say it, I don't see sales improving without a $50+ price cut, which is impossible at this point. Imo, in order to compete with the older consoles, Wii U needs to have at least one solid exclusive per month, and it needs to get most multiplats for the rest of the year. I do think it's also in desperate need of a new Pokemon title to go along with X&Y, or a new Mario Kart, neither of which I expect to release until sometime next year.

No one doubts they're in the works, the question is when are they arriving? I think they're being quite because they have very little planned for 2013. We should see a ton of 2014 titles at this years e3 though
I see the wii U's line up looking like such:

2013:Pikmin 3, Mario Party, Mario Kart
2014: Mario 3D, Metroid, SSBB, Beyonetta 2, Pokemon Battle sim, Wii branded title (ala wii sports/fit)
2015: Zelda, New IP, Animal Crossing, Star FOX!!!

Of course they'll be a few 3rd party gems sprinkled here and there, like Wonderful 101.

I agree Nintendo are doing something in the background.

However those games are aimed at Nintendo core. I don't think any of them will bring in new core players.

They need new franchises and exclusives aimed at the core to get them to come.
