They could all make fart noises, or say "Hail Satan" and I would still buy it.

Imagine that...

Trainer: "Go Togepi!"

*Throws Pokeball*

Togepi: "HAIL SATAN!!!"

well who knows what's going to come outta his mouth when he uses metronome! but yeah... I think that might draw a whole wrong crowd to playing pokemon if they said that :D

just kinda realised after a 20min bio break which included evolving my Abra into a Kadabra in White 2 that I as a 29 year old male possibly am not the key demograph of the pokemon series and cannot really judge which people are the "wrong crowds" to play it :D

i think they will have an actual voice for the player and other characters before they put it on pokemons

heh, prof oak had voice in Pokemon Snap on the N64 so ... yeah NPCs have had their time in the Limelight! now it's time for the 'Mon to speak up.

pikachu had voice in pokemon yellow :P he said pika!! :P

Only if it was the Pikachu from Pokemon Yellow. All other one's used the normal sound clip.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Haha. I doubt you are the only 29 year old who plays the game, though.

I'm pretty sure even if you traded that Pikachu away to another game and back again it just returned to being a standard one who doesn't follow you around or have the special voice clips of how happy he is. But like great example there, that was on an original gameboy cart which was 1mb big + it had all of pokemon yellow with it and pikachu had about 20+ voice clips so the 3ds cards would be able to hold all the clips no bothers.

Probably, they'd just need at least two clips for each of the 700+ pokemon (one for appearing, one for fainting) and they'd be good to go.

2 second stereo mp3 at 128kbps is just 35kb x2 per pokemon is 70kb x 700pokemon = 49000kb it's under 50mb which isn't a whole lot. but.... it's the issue of getting the rights to use all of the voice actors voices in an outside project too, but yeah in terms of sheer size 3ds carts are mostly around the 2gb size so the 50mb wouldn't really take a toll on this.

lol at the 15% of people who play this game silently, some of Pokemon music especially the gym battles are absolutely amazing definitely not a game to avoid the music of, heck even the old game boy games had some great town themes.
