Forums - Nintendo - Pokemon X/Y midi's again?

Would the Anime voices make the game more immersive?

Yes it's 2013 need proper pokemon voices 22 39.29%

No - the original voices are best 18 32.14%

No - the size of all that... 4 7.14%

doesn't matter - I play ... 12 21.43%

Total:56

Looking at that announce trailer for the upcoming Pokemon 3ds games Pokemon X/Y there is one thing I notice really missing from all their battling scenes.... the sounds the pokemon are making, they have the fire blast sounds and they have the pokeball popping open noise but nothing from the actual pokemon themselves. This makes me think/dread something are we going to be getting another generation of pokemon games filled with midi pokemon screechs?

Does this matter to people at all now? I mean sure some of the newer games make their screechs sound slightly less GBCesque in quality but I mean wouldn't it be great to have their anime voices shout out as they make the jump into 3d... or would it just be too much time and space on the cart to have the over 700 individual pokemon all with their own intro, attack and death voice clips?

Would it sell any more copies if they did?

Yeah I know I'm the exact same way I'll absolutely be buying it but... would you not enjoy it more if you threw down that pokeball in game and it burst out a familiar face screaming PPPPIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :D or is that just me?

If only people who intend to buy the game anyway care about it, it should not be added.

i think they will have an actual voice for the player and other characters before they put it on pokemons

I actually liked the sounds they made in the Stadium games. Those were awesome and more fleshed out over the original MIDI sounds they made. I like Mr. Mim's "RUH-RUH-RUH!!" whilse spinning its hands in a circle and then pressing forward.
