Wrong. Uncharted 3 was above 4.5m before the holiday bundle and above 3.3m after the first holiday



gears of war 3 sold 3 million units its first npd, 100% real numbers, uncharted 3 sold 700,000$ npd, that's the only real numers we have.

sure its a sale, but he's asking if its more popular then gears of war franshise and its not.

U3 HAS been massively bundled starting a couple months ago; however, before the bundling started, it was at around 4.5million, outpacing U2 by about 800k. It had also just started to pick up in sales to 20+K per week directly prior to the bundling.

U2 had a 500k or so 2nd Christmas, so u can only assume U3 would've done the same or better without its bundling. So...without that bundling, U3 would likely be at around 5.05-5.20 million in sales. So it definitely would be much further from Gears 3's sales if it hadn't been bundled, but I still think these games belong in the same class, saleswise. Plus, seeing as U2 is a 6mill+ seller, and U3 was tracking nearly 1mill ahead of U2 pre-bundling, there's a decent chance U3 would've caught Gears 3 eventually even without its bundling.

The only unfortunate thing is that Gears 3 still made more money due to selling more copies of Gears 3 while it was still full price.

No one is arguing how well it sold before the bundle. The problem is the only reason it is so close to Gears of War 3 now is because of the bundles. For anyone to sit here and try to claim a victory is ignorant because they know why it is close and if the roles were reversed most on here no damn well we wouldn't here the end about how Gears of War 3 was bundled.

So you're suggesting that 1,500,000 PS3's sold from 2012 were bundled with UC3? LOL

Franchises popularity:

Uncharted would NEVER come close to Gears of War's numbers without mass bundling and you all know it, the fact that Uncharted 3 is one of the most bundled games of this generation EASILY and it still hasn't pass Gears of War 3 after over a year is pathetic. 

Honest question...have you ever made a post where didn't somehow fit God of War into?
