Problem isnt english. Problem are the other languages.

Everyone in the world should speak only english, it would be better for everyone.

And im not english or american, but i know first-hand the barriers different languages raise.

Not the education system. Languages have different stuff to articulate, that we learn as childs as we learn the language. If you later learn a different language that has phonemes that doesn't exist in your primary language, than you have difficulties to pronounce it. It sounds funny if english-speaking people try to pronounce the german sounds for ÄÖÜ. So I could say your education system fails at learning you the german language.


You have a point. That being said, My primary language doesn't have many of the phonemes found in english, yet my pronounciation is fine. Yeah, I still have a mild accent, but it's nowhere near as bad...

@Wander_ The English language is bullying and racist towards other languages.

And that's the whole problem with minorities if they don't like something it's racist.

Okay, I have one for you. Since you think that forcing a language on people is racist, what do you think of this? I live the United States (where English is the primary language) and in the area that I live in a lot of people are are immigrants that speak only Spanish. Should I tell them to get out of my country for forcing me to try to learn their language in order to communicate with them. Is this racist on their part?

So... you are inconvenienced because your language isn't the international langauge so you want to inconvenience other people just so everybody has to have as hard of a time as you.

This is the biggest problem with modern thinking.

It's no longer a common desire to uplift... but a desire to make sure that nobody has it any easier then you do.  Even when doing this has no positive benefit for anybody.

We may as well put all media in black and white because color is "racist" to those who are colorblind.

May not be as musical as Arabic or other languages though.

Also, as for why English is the common world wide language. I'd blame it more on the UK. They made sure a large wide population spoke it quite well.

English will likely never not be the world language because of this. (at least not for a couple centuries out at least.)

English speaking is just too diversely spread and Chinese influence will more or less be countered by Indian influence.
