If the 3DS does 17+ Million by years end in Japan then it will be a amazing. Anything above that would be almost unbelievable.

DS 3rd or 4th year over 8mil (dont remember exact number) also to note diamond/pearl came out that year, so X/Y might do the same!

I don't know about 10 million, but it will have the best year of any gaming system in japan in history.

Luigi's Mansion will sell good, but you were acting as if it was a console pusher. Console pushers don't just sell a little hardware.

Exactly DS biggest year in japan had the 1st pokemon game on the system (D/P), this time we got X/Y which i believe is gonna be much more hyped and anticipated than 3rd-5th gen games. Also another killer app is MH4, with DQ7, not to mention games of last year still doing strong NSMB2, AC new leaf! It can make 8mil maybe 9mil

since this time around Nintendo has MH on it's side it might actually make it. three GIGANTIC games in one year will will make the 3DS the monster of all monsters!

Luigi's Mansion was never that well liked in Japan. It won't really affect sales over there that much.

Luigi's Mansion has a good chance to sell 3mil this year, how is that bad? But Pushing hardware nowhere near other game levels but yes it can push a good amount (nothing that noticeable though)
