Super Mario 3D Land is already at 8 Million. All it needs is 2 Million more sales for it to beat the medium of your Pokemon sales predictions.

That's what we're trying to say. These game that have been out for 2 years now will not have their crown stolen from them that easily.

When you consider that SM3DL and MK7 are still selling pretty well (both are still in the charts almost every week), X and Y will have to sell ridiculously...

NSMB2 is also doing great...

And then there's New Leaf...

X and Y have their work cut out for them...

Mario 3D Land. Over 8 mil already, easily over 9 mil by the end of the year. Only other game that stands a chance is Mario Kart 7. Pokémon can't sell 9 mil in 3 months.......can it? Simultaneous global release.......Pokémon....... holy cow, it really CAN do it, can't it?

Still betting on 3D Land.

Just realize pokemon black/white in japan sold 5mil in its 1st year...lets not forget this gen isnt hyped as much as the 6 gen!

This game is surely gonna sell alot so i say this instead...
Japan=4.4mil
NoA=3.8mil
Europe=3.2mil
Rest...=1mil

12.4mil WW! Just crazy!! Here is the link to show Japan sales in 2010 BW...

all games by the end of 2013
1. pokemon... even if it is only 2 and a half months.. i think 3 mil copies in japan in first week
2. NSMB2... i think it will catch up pretty soon
3. Super Mario 3D Land
4. Mario Kart 7
5. Animal Crossing... i dont know if west (esp europe) will give love to animal crossing today; if they do then it might be on the second spot.

Oh I agree that 6th gen will sell VERY well, but it doesn't have the install base 5th had. Even if it sells better than BW, it's a ways from there to the 9-10 mil SM3DL will have by the end of the year.

More people buying consoles for Pokémon will probably boost Mario's sales, too.

Agreed, SM3DL will boost because of pokemon boosting hardware (so as other games getting a boost) but i think your underestimated the sales! Mario 3D Land will sell over 9mil in fact I think 3.5mil to total it up to 11.5mil!

So you think that 3DL will be up to 11.5 mil by the end of the year, and XY will be higher?

Hey, I think the new gen has potential, but I have to know more about it before I call something crazy like 12 mil in under 3 months. That would be nuts!

I do think it'll be selling off the charts though. Something you might not be considering -- what about digital sales? Animal Crossing sold very well digitally in Japan, and Pokémon could do the same. If even 10% of its sales are digital, that could be a million or more not being tracked by VGChartz. Enough to make a difference.

Nope I posted b4, SM3DL will have 11.5mil and beat pokemon X/Y barely! I think pokemon will sell 11mil! This is my opinion, i'll stick with it, Its so over hyped now, just you wait!

Because the 3DS has a "low" install base right now, I don't predict anything higher than 6m in two months... Maybe I am too pessimistic? This is still a bit better than how MK7 did in two months.

But truth be told, I don't really know how quickly pokemon games have sold in the past.
