Eh, I highly disagree, but I know I'm on VGC, where I'm in the minority when I say that both Drake's Fortune and Drake's Deception had better stories than Among Thieves. They were more personal, made me care for the characters more. Among Thieves just felt like a very well made Summer flick, which was nothing short of spectacular I might add, but didn't hold my attention like either of the other two.

Guess we have to agree to disagree bud. For the record I think the 'story' of UC3 was great ...but poorly told. If I had to rank the series now based on SP, it would be

UC2 > UC GA > UC3 > UC1

I agree that the storyTELLING of UC2 was probably the best, but the story itself was not.

Different approaches I think. With UC3 they wanted to a bit of a serious story compared to the rest. But yes my main issue lies with the telling of the story.

To be perfectly frank, I can understand the praise for Among Thieves, but was one of the few that initially thought it was praised a touch more than it should have been. However, I fully backed Uncharted 3's positive reception because I actually got to know Drake (despite the obviously open-ended, unanswered questions). Of course, the significantly better visuals didn't hurt, either.

both had their strengths I think. One major area where UC2 was better than UC3 were the enemies. We had no one as good as Eddy Raja or Flynn. Talbot had a lot of issues and Marlowe was...well I dunno :S I feel like I don't even know her (maybe a prologue game could shed some more light on her). Another thing wa, looking back now..I can't find a fault in the way they told the story..it was just perfect imho. Extremely polished sp campaign.

One of the best things about UC3 was the more focus on drake as individual....I absolutely adored the young drake level to the point I hope for a vita game JUST as the young drake. Visuals were definitely better as well. The desert and shipyard levels were amazing. The MP was just bonkers to the point I had to tell myself I need to try some other MP for a change to get away from it lol

Now we're getting somewhwere. I definitely agree on the enemies. Raja is a legend and Lazaravich is probably as menacing as I've experienced from a boss this gen (save for maybe General Raam, Liquid, and King Bohan).

I know some people hate the final boss battle of UC3 but man do I love it. It was menacing and overall just crazy. I was running like a madman lol Best final boss fight so far in the series I think

speaking of which maybe I should make a thread asking who people think the best enemies in this gens PS Exclusives :D

Not in 2013, even if they release all those titles, even if it cost less than 300 dollars (which I doubt) I don't plan to buy it.

First I have a big backlog on PS3 and second I don't buy consoles at launch, never have, never will. I usually have to import and failure rate at the launch of any electronic device is higher than normal, and I can't send it back using the warranty so is too much risk.

Just my 2 cents on UC. I don't know why, but I just can't get into the mp in UC3. It feels a little lifeless at times. The MP in UC2 is pure crack, and I always find myself playing it. I want to like UC3's but you can't force something like that. As for SP, I love both, but I'd have to give the edge to UC2 (that building scene was incredible). I really love the first game though. It's much harder than the other 2 on crushing.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

Yes I will buy the PS4, no matter what.

I think they regreted releasing UC3 when they did tbh. I love the game but it was definitely lacking polish. Few more months in the oven would have done it wonders..and I'm referring to the SP here.

What about the single player do you think lacked polish?

The story..it felt a bit rushed and all over the place. The relationship between drake and elena...drakes past. I didn't feel they did as good of a job as UC2 story wise. Especially towards the end I felt it was a bit too rushed. Especially the whole incident with Marlowe. But the biggest issue was ...Talbot

check this vid out he points out the problems much better

OK I can understand UC2 being highest, but GA above 1 and 2!?  I bought a Vita and that game was a big part, but it just wasn't nearly as good as console ones.  I could understand lowering the resolutions to put it on Vita, but there were no setpieces.  If I played it for over an hour it felt like a drag.  I've platinumed all 3 Uncharteds on consoles and play through them about once a year, but GA I will never go back to.  How can you even compare its SP to the 3 console ones?  Unless of course you're doing the whole "What it did on Vita is impressive because it was on Vita"

I am perfectly content with my PS3, even if the PS4 came out at $400 with a great line up I'd have no issue waiting a year or so while I work on my backlog of games.

I hope they have a BC attachment for it as I don't have room at school for 2 boxes and will be picking up a bunch of PS3 games on Black Friday that come out in the first half of this year (LoU, GTA5, Bioshock, Puppeteer, Beyond, Sly, GoW, and Tomb Raider) that I simply can't afford to get at launch.

Yeah, already have a back log and 2013 is strong year for PS3 and 3DS so likely be as long if not longer  ayear from now.

lol not at all. The less focus on set pieces is actually one of the reasons why I loved the game. It's a different beast altogether. It's more of an adventure game than an action adventure game. The exploration element was the best in the whole series. It's absolutely insane the amount of content they put in for exploration. This is a weakness the home console games have in comparison. The only downside I can think of is the final boss battle (which was ok but could be better) and balancing mini games. It's like an improved UC1 to me. I hope they keep the focus on set pieces to a minimum next vita game as well. What it did was impressive, no matter what the system it was in.
