The WiiU is my new fav console because of it

Load times is a deal breaker.

I LOVE ICELAND!

TVii is slow as anything. tried it for about 20 minutes during an nfl broadcast about 2 weeks ago, it being server side really shows.

Is that thing already working? I guess I'll never see it run, maybe some lucky European in the UK, Germany or some Scandinavian country will.

Its working with my Verizon Fios setup, the setup is ok, it asks what your favorite channels are, favorite types of shows and movies and remembers your settings.  When I had the nfl on, the screen shows down and distance on a map and commentary on the right side, you can "Like" comments that show up within miiverse I believe. other screens shows other scores from other nfl games

I think the UI is great.

It seems to have got a little quicker, although can occasionally be a bit slow, but nothing that bothers me.

Nice and easy to use. Everything is easy to find and use, prefer it to the 360 dashboard, which is just crammed full of ads

I like it.

I think its very easy on the eyes, but there are definite areas to improve.

1. The channel layout is awesome and I'm glad they kept it.
2. The way to log in and out of users is simple and straight forward. I like.
3. The access to any individual app is very nice and obvious.
4. The music and integration with Miiverse on the home screen is superb.
5. The usage of differentiated music and images on the gamepad vs TV is fantastic.

A. The design to have EVERYTHING as a web service was a bad idea. Things like settings and apps that are solely within the console, should be quicker. Its not an issue to wait 5-10 seconds for miiverse/browser/etc to load, but it should NEVER take 15-20seconds for console settings or friends list to load or to return to the home screen.
B. Friends List and Miiverse should be one in the same. Having them separate and then working differently is simply overly complicated and a poor implementation.
C. If I hit "home" on the controller, it should always do the same thing. Currently it always opens up the mini-menu on the gamepad (that is great!) but depending on the app I'm in, it will either go to the home page on the full console or stay in the app I was in. This is stupid. It should only return to the full WiiU home if I click the "Close App" button in the gamepad's mini-menu when pressing home. I shouldn't have to re-enter miiverse, browser, store, and so on if I chose to hit the home button to see why my gamepad's light blinked.

The good news is, all of WiiU's minor UI issues will surely be rectified through updates as they optimize the overall system and OS in addition as listening to user feedback.

It seems to be a little finicky. Sometimes is speedy and others its not. It kinda has to be server-side, but I think it will improve over time as will the other areas of WiiU's OS speediness.

I really like TVii, especially the sports stuff. I use it all the time.

Slow? What do you mean, exactly? Closing out or opening different features? Or just everything in general? I thought the Wii U had a ton of RAM dedicated to the OS?

When switching applications it takes a while. Exiting a game is probably the longest. Sure it's bearable, but just not what I'd expect from a next gen system.

Multi task? What are you expecting to multi task with? The most you can multi task with the Wii U is by loading Miiverse or Internet Browser while having something else loaded (like a game or Netflix/Hulu+). You can't have two games going at once.  To be able to switch to Miiverse or the Browser while in a game or streaming service works fine with me.

Also, UI over complicated?  It makes me wonder if you even have a Wii U.

While in a game you can press home and select a few different things to do such as go online or browse the eshop. It's weird because it is tied to the game, that's it. Sure it works but differently than I expected.

Yes the UI is over complicated. I'm used to smartphones and Vita. Heck I even think the 3DS ui is simpler. Oh and at times miiverse pisses me off. After dieing ten times in the same spot I don't want to read some prick's comment "it's easy if you're good " Also the digital manuals are pretty fancy.

The UI is pleasant to the eyes but the long loading times are a deal breaker. When switching applications the OS is freaking slow it makes you want to not do multi tasking.

Also Miiverse there are days it works and other it will simply not load or load reaaaaaaally slowly , maybe it's my friend connection, but still is slow as hell (I don't own a Wii U but i play it on a friend's house)

One thing tough, I love how they show the games and the miis running to different games showing how much people plays that specific game. Is a detail but i love it
