i think 3DS Japan Sale will Beat Vita worldwide sale!!

Well, as we celebrate 10M 3DS in Japan and Vita has 4M worldwide it seems likely.
It depends on what Sony does with the Vita, it's too hard to tell. It could be out of production by 2014, or it could rebound and repeat the PSP's sales.
I say it won't do it, 3DS is too huge in Japan.
Sad times for the Vita indeed...it'll be close.

I know its Pokemon but honestly like the PSP and the NDS, I think they are two different markets which can co-exist. Sony just needs to get its head out of its ass and help push the Vita like they did with the PS3 in its early years (and some more like price cuts ;p). |
I agree, Pokemon has nothing to do with Vita per se. Pokemon wouldn't hae come to Vita anyways. Pokemon will have a big effect on 3DS, that's for sure. So Pokemon might influence the outcome of the question in the OP. but the effect on Vita-sales should be minimal.
This is beating a dead horse, the Vita short of a PSP like come back due to multiple hit series or two in the territories of Japan and Europe won't likely ever top the 3DS in Japan. The 3DS has the advantage of being a Nintendo system, parents buy it for their kids and various blockbuster franchises. It will be hard for Sony to come back from that.

i think sony have big plan for ps vita... i mean an integration with ps4 sounds like a hit or missed for sony....
if they are able to integrate it with the ps4... i could imagine their sales would sky rocket, but that is too wii-u-ish...
and sony doesnt like to follow on the fad. esp. after what happened to the dildo motion control.
2013-2014 might be a break or make for vita.
I don't think we should put the Vita against the 3DS anymore as it's jut not fair to the Vita!

yeah price and software is the main key, but for now their support looks dreadful... so hopefully sony would pull off like an apple to thousand of ihomes-kind-of-business
