Ahem, yeah I don't disagree with anything in the OP. Mario Kart DS is one of the best games that I have ever played, and the fact that it was portable did not take away quality from the gameplay or the (massive) content. On the contrary, it was a huge benefit.

As long as the developers know how to properly design a game that is well suited for handhelds there's no reason to expect sub-par quality compared to home consoles. After all, graphics is not what makes a title timeless. Overall design, content and gameplay is.

I have never had nearly as much fun with a handheld compared to a home system. They are handhelds and that's different

Sigh, I'm so sick of this debate...

There are games that release simultaneously on handhelds and consoles with little to no loss in quality.  Little Big Planet is said to be even better on Vita than on PS3. 

Anyway, I thought we put this to bed ages ago.  I even remember posting a bunch of pics from different portable console boxes that said "System" or "Console" right there on the box.  What's there to to debate?

I hate to break it to you radish, but I'm pretty sure that neither type of console belongs to a race.
