The problem for the Vita are the 1st party franchises. None of them are being perceived as fit for a portable console, whereas the big Nintendo franchises had up to over 20yrs to establish themselves on a handheld.

Some (like Smash Bros) have Trophies, but only in game. Nothing system-wide. Pokemon Black/White 2 has medals as ingame-trophies.

For Wii? Because the Smash Bros for current-gen (WiiU & 3DS) will take some time.
