Looks like 3DS will dominate this year even more than it did the last. Monster Hunter 4 alone in Japan will be mostrous and now Pokemon! Sales in the West should finally reach epic levels next holiday.

I wouldn't worry too much. It's still quite early, after all: the next seven to eight months should be devoted largely to polishing out issues just like this.

i have always wanted to play Pokemon and was thinking of getting a 3DSXL for Zelda so maybe i should. is there another Zelda game coming to the 3DS anytime soon?

Unfortunately Nintendo does not offer any Achievement or Trophy like system.
As for your first question, the great thing about the 3DS is that it is completely backwards compatible, meaning you'll have access to Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver, Pokemon Black/White, and Pokemon Black/White 2, all fantastic Pokemon games.
And as for Zelda, Nintendo and Eji Anouma has hinted multiple times that they have a Zelda title in the works for 3DS. Whether this title is a brand new adventure of a remake of a previous games (most likely Majora's Mask) remains to be seen. And of course it's home to the Ocarina of Time remake.
This is gonna be huge, already been rule34'd...
