the only mistake sony made was making the ps3 way too expensive cause of blue ray. sony has plenty of games that sell great, GT5, GOW3 and the uncharted series have sold  35 million + units this gen.

Uncharted and god of war might sell fine once the install base exists but they don't make people go out of their way to buy the system for them. Vita proves that. It wasn't just blu-ray that hurt ps3. Sony hyped up the system with trailers like killzone and when it eventually surfaced its graphics weren't much better then 360. The blu-ray drive increased the price and it was perceived as a more expensive 360.True it had all the multimedia functions and everything you need in the box but gamers don't care about that stuff. They want games and ps3 wasn't doing enough to differentiate itself.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D

I disagree with you. ps3 has plenty of games, had it launched at 299-399$ with out blue ray it would have destroyed 360 interms of sales, also the controller, needs an upgrade big time, the 360 controlled is so much better, those 2 thing imo is what really hurt the ps3, when ps3 luanched the brand was beyond huge.

America - MS Land
Europe - Sony Land
Japan - Nintendo Land

That's how is going to end.

I think similar. And as Japan is not that big in home-consoles these days, WiiU will struggle.

Then thank god for Sonys unparalleled ability to create core games, unlike the competition. One major issue I think Sony had to face was used games sales. Being that a lot of their games didnt have multiplayer this gen a lot of people waited for the bargain bin. From my experience half of my PS3 exclusives are used but I value those games more than any consoles exclusives for the variety and love put into them.

sony has system sellers, there core games are system sellers, how else have they have sold over 70 million units, after launching a system a 599$.

Don't know why Sony fans keep bringing this up, they didn't sell 70 million consoles at $599. They sold, what, like 5 million at $599? They sold over 70 million by cutting the price, significantly, several times. Including a $100 cut less than a year after launch.

The only reason Ps3 had a bad launch was because of it's price, Who in the blue hell would buy a console for 600$, if Sony launches the PS4 with a 349$ price tag you could expect a PS2 kinda domination, You all know how ps3's were all SOLD OUT when it got a 299$ price cut back in 2009.

You had me until this:

"In the U.S, I see it being a battle between Wii U & 720. The Wii U will sell slightly better IMO with the 720 in a very close 2nd. Sony is losing presence in the U.S."

No chance.

Anyway, I agree about the Wii U dominating the PS4 in Japan. 720 will sell more than both the Wii U and PS4 in the US, and Europe is anyone's guess between the 720 and PS4.

Isn't PS3 in europe the same as what xbox is in america? why would sony lose the territory it dominates but not microsoft?

I don't even own a ps3 so i'm no sony fan. it took a long time for the ps3 to drop in price, had it launched at 299-399, and the price now should be 149$, it would be easily over 100 million.
