I had a broken wrist. Idiot doctor put a cast around my whole freaking arm including my elbow and my hand. I couldn't do anything for three weeks until I did go to another doc for a routine check and he was like "Why is your arm in that huge cast when you only have a broken wrist?". He gave me a new cast that had my fingers and my elbow free so I could finally play games again. Worst three weeks of my life.

That's sadistic. 

Had a boxer's fracture of a fifth metacarpal on my left hand due to hitting something very hard. I just played mouse-only games on the computer. And tried not to hit people.

I broke a bone or two in my wrist. It took a while to heal and before I could twist my wrist without any pain.

I've burned/cut and done other things to fingers and couldn't play for a while. But they heal really quickly. Sometimes you can learn to do thing with other fingers. Good luck.

Mine was the fifth metacarpal too, I did exactly the same thing as you.

Never broke my finger, but I once cracked the area around my right eye.

I was watching this Chuck Norris (Figures...) movie called "Eye for an Eye" and at the time I had a bunk bed.

Anyways, I did a Chuck Norris style jump kick off the bunk, landed on my skateboard and it came right up and smashed me in the face!

Yup, that's about it for me.

When it happened (I was maybe 10 at the time), it was most definitely NOT funny.

Looking back though, it's hilarious and goes to show how dumb kids can be.

That is one place I have not broken/fractured a bone.  Eeesh, Orbital Socket issues cannot feel very good.
