Eating meat is nothing we can be proud of people. there is NO WAY we need to eat meat anymore.

IT IS NOT HEALTHY. I grew up with everyone telling me nothing but meat is healthy, while its the exact oposite.
Please search if for yourself what your body needs and what actually good is for your body.
PLEASE before Replaying at all, LOOK IT UP and then comment, because MEAT is why we still have so much sickness around the world.

also what I just dont get:

WE call it meat, its a fkin animal people.
I have stoped eating meat not that long ago to be honest, but I have NO INTENTION to go back eating it....

ITS a disgrace what we are doing to the animals and the planet as a whole

Red meat isn't exactly healthy, that doesn't mean chicken, pork, fish aren't. Need to specify if you make a comment such as this...

Like someone else here pointed out in an earlier post, it's startlingly obvious that almost nobody commenting here actually watched the video in the OP.

probablly because it clear that the video is a bunch of horse shit with a tree hugger trying to make people marry cows and shit

Thank you for that brilliant contribution to this discussion.

I'm sorry, I'm addicted to telling people the way it is.

Well, for one, what you said is not the way it is (which you'd know if you'd watched the video in the OP), and two, even if it were, you don't have to be so very offensive about it. :/

Well, humans kill animals to eat, and animals kill humans to eat.

I think eating meat is a good thing, because it is really healthy, nutritious, etc.

However, I do think animals are far too often mistreated in many many ways.

So, I it a bit conflicting to pay money to people that mistreat animals and continue to do so. But, it is also conflicting to pay taxes to the government that does tons of screwed up stuff. Or to buy goods from most companies, just based on how they treat workers, make pollution, sue people, etc.

So in the end it is about choices. No matter how you try to paint your life, there will always be a bit of gray (wrong) in every choice. You just do youir best.

I wish the world was just a good place with everyone being good to one another (as best they could anyway, since we are all different with different flaws). I do not wish for power, but at the same time it seems to be the only way to bring about that change (also conflicting).

Life is always simple, Life is always complex, Life is always too short, enjoy life and help others enjoy their lives! :D

To the bolded i ask you how do you know this? how do you know what that animal is feeling or what its family feels?.

I hate to do this, because I'm not against veganism although I'm not one myself. But I'm against stupid arguments, so here we go:

How do you know, what the plant you eat is feeling and what it's family feels?

Do you have any idea how many animals would be extinct if not for human consumption? Would there be room for cows? I think not. The buffalo would surely be gone - only as we switched from mass slaughter to cultivation did its population rebound.

Rhinos and elephants and other African animals are coveted for their tusks, horns, and hides. They're on their way to extinction as human populations continue to grow around them. A simple solution is to raise them, commercially, for their body parts - morbid as that may seem, does it not beat extinction?

Let's also look at deer. Deer is a popular animal for hunters. The state of Texas-where I live- is practically begging people to hunt more deer at times - they overpopulate and threaten to destroy ecosystems. Their natural predators were driven away long ago. But their predators are also dangerous to humans. Is it not far more practical to hunt and eat them, rather than introduce deadly animals back into the region? Is sacrificing helpless children to wild animals more moral than keeping the population in check ourselves?

Giving up meat is not the solution. Do we need to eat meat? No. I have no problem with people being vegan or vegetarian. But don't ever suggest everyone give up meat. It would simply cause far more problems - and a faster rate of extinction. If humans and animals are to both inhabit this world, then we have to find balance - and giving up meat is not a balance.

No thanks. Gonna get a nice big chicken tonight for dinner just in tribute to this thread.

Are you people really that poorly informed!?

I CAN LIVE ALL YEAR ROUND on 10 square meters of land!

DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY RESOURCES A SINGLE KG OF STEAK REQUIRES!!?

(I'm screaming because you wouldn't hear me otherwise)

I made myself some time back some calculations, because I was interested. With modern grains and modern cultivation you need more or less 1 hectar (=100x100 meter = 10,000qm) to get enough energy to feed one person over a year. Meat usually need even more space.
