This will sell with the Nintendo core, so 2 million and as the console gains legs 3.5 LTD.

I don't know how people can think this game will sell less than the GameCube original. Now that it's a familiar title for many gamers it should receive more attention; the 3DS already has a larger install base than the Cube ever managed; and all of Nintendo's franchises found on both systems have sold faster and better on 3DS: 3D Mario, Mario Kart, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, even Paper Mario is on its way despite being only a month old.

there is like 160,000 pre-orderes now and there is not exactly a release date confirmed yet ( probably march 2013)
i think if advertise the game well and stuff and make maybe a multiplayer mode , it will sell like 8m+

I wish I could be as optimistic as you when it comes to Nintendo these days.

will sell okay i think 5 -6 millions tops, it doesn't have the appeal of mario but is a good game,
and it's more exposed than luigis mansion in the gamecube, more people own a 3ds now against game cube

It's not hard to be.

At least the original was a (the) launch title for the GameCube, which usually means automatic good LTD sales. For Nintendo launch titles anyway.

I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing in Luigi's Mansion's case here, as the GameCube's total lifetime sales are already less than the 3DS' are now

Granted, you have to want to be optimistic. Someone who wants to be pessimistic can find just as many reasons to be.

Generally, if you feel that breaking even with the DS is an accomplishment, you should be optimistic; if you feel that merely breaking even is a disappointment, you should be pessimistic.
