It is too early to decide anything about third party support on wiiu and I wouldn't be surprise if it turns out to be just like the wii. Nintendo could release the most powerful console on the planet with zero software développement cost and have the entire world as they install base and still have a lackluster third party support. People need to realize that, especially nintendo themselves. They always get ignored by third party to the point that it has become some kind of a norm or something. The only way for nintendo to have a decent support is to put sony and microsoft out of the competition which is obiviously imposible.

Oh please.  That kind of talk is just like saying Nintendo should not even try to get third party support at all.  That's the last we need to hear.  Just because we haven't heard anything from 3rd parties yet doesn't mean they're not planning anything, and I don't expect the support to be like Wii, especially not by the end of 2013.

lets hope your right, we will see at E3...

I don't expect to be anymore right or wrong than you, but I would rather give the benefit of the doubt than assume the worst... for the moment.

I'm actually scared of the PS4 and XBOX 720. The transition from the 6th to 7th gen has been a disaster; many developers have closed down or some are not profitable due to rising development costs (Square Enix and Sega come in mind). If the PS4 and XBOX 720 are believed to be more powerful, then the transition from 7th to 8th will be even worse. I for one am happy with the way graphics looks today and Nintendo being just a bit over hardware strength compared to this gen is actually a smart move for developers or publishers.

I really would love Bioshock Infinite to come to the Wii U. I'm getting to love the way the gamepad feels, and the way miiverse is integrated, that any third party games I would prefer to play on the U. Really though, I think this system will not be defined by multiplats, but rather by games like Zombi U, third party exclusives that use the system well. Nintendo needs more of these. wonderful 101 and bayonetta 2 are on the right track, and so is Rayman. It seems that both sega and ubisoft are invaluable partners for nintendo. I hope we see more of this interaction between nintendo and publishers in the future.

And in Japan, probably Square-Enix and Capcom since they both jumped on the system from the start.

The issue here is not "giving it time." Wiu has all the time it needs (less than 2yrs). The fact is that nintendo only managed to secure two multiplat titles out of 17.

Cherrypicked 17 titles. I already gave a list of multiplats heading to WiiU and WiiU already got a lot of multiplats. So this argument is twisted in itself. Should I cherrypick a list of 17 multiplats, of which NO ONE comes to the PS3? What would that prove?

Sums up nintendo's current problem. Don't pretend developers "chose" to ignore the wii or possibly wiiu, it was nintendo's fault. They backed themselves into a corner by choosing to deviate from an actually software based strategy of direct competition and instead went with motion controls, finally pivoting to a mirror image of their handheld strategy which is entirely based on two screens.

Two screens on a handheld worked well but it's not going to work as the major selling point for a home console. Lack of Blu-Ray, dvd, HDD Space, apps, functionality and media intergration are all working against it. Don't pretend like developers just chose to ignore nintendo, it's obvious the company has been more than lost for these past few years.

The PS3 is currently the #1 selling home console. "Cherrypick" all you want lol, it's #1 for a reason. Fairy irrelevant what you find, sales speak for themselves.

List 15 multiplats that are ONLY available on wiiu, I can list 15 major multiplats that AREN'T. See what I'm saying.

What does Blu-ray and DVD have to do with developers?  They make games, not movies.

HDD space can be boosted to 2 TB's.   I don't see devs pullling X360 support because fo the mass market friendly 4 GB X360 model.

Apps?  What do you mean it doesn't have apps?

Functionality....what functionality?

Media integration.  Again, what does that have to do with video game developers?   Besides, you can use a Wii U to play many media types.

Lol, ok let's take a STAB at this...

Blu-Ray/DVD would qualify a home console as a "entertainent hub,"something nintendo CLAIMS wiiu is. Without BD/DVD playback you have a problem. Duh.

You think CONSUMERS will upgrade their harddrives to....2TB? Hahahaha! You just made me laugh... People don't know what external HDD means, let alone know how to upgrade.

Apps, you know the billion dollar industry that makes or brakes EVERY piece of technology in 2012 lol.. Yeah, THOSE things.

Functionality, not sure..I stil don't know what the card slot on wiiu does. Nintendo hasnt told anyone lol...

Media integration is exactly what nintendo claims the wiiu can, or will, or should do in the future. Game console aren't just game console anymore. Welcome to 2007. So you're entire reply is just strange...no offense but you cleary don't know what your talking about. It's Obvious...
