Unless we do not see Q3 numbers of PS2 i do not belive anything! That PS2/PS3 mixing in combination with AT LEAST rumors saying the PS2 is done is not coming from anywhere!

I never said the DS passed the PS2 NOW! It will do it when all is said and done! I find it funny that even the Guinnes Book of Records for 2013 has the same number! How could this be! I don´t think Guiness Book is wrong!

Nope, it's a fact that Sony can't lie to shareholders that they are combined numbers if in reality they are not. You are still wrong.

I am NOT atacking YOU! I just question the tracking methodes of Sony! Wasn´t it Sony that does not draw a line between SHIPPED and SOLD? Yes Concerns can lie! Many do this to make numbers look better! Sony has a past in mixing SHIPPED and SOLD! I remember the redicolous 120 million PSone consoles! We know the truth! If the PS2 really has 158 million it would be flat from 2011 (even PS360 are down) wich is simply NOT possible! Something is not right here!

Same numbers as VGChartz? No surprise there. They have used VGChartz in the past and probably use VGC now. What source for the numbers do they use?

The consistant PS2 numbers, down YoY ever-so-slightly, is because of the consoles popularity in expanding markets. Places like India, China, the Middle East, South America.

Alone, those markets arent all that. Together, with a library like the PS2s, the PS2 is pure gold.

But don´t you think that Sony would come like a wild cat and claim the guiness book to be wrong if it was not true?
Sony as a world concern should very well keep an eye on things like the guiness book and at a page like vgchartz wich is apparently very well knowen as a very controversial source? I think there must be a true core in the whole story! If I was a sales manager at Sony and someone said they have surpassed a product of mine and it was not true i would do a PR and tell them thei are wrong! Sony did not do that!

Nope. They have no reason to. Why should a Globally massive company care about the sales estimations of a 12 Year old console?

Its the same reasom publishers dont call out the SW numbers here. Its a site that posts estimations, that is all.
