All I have to say is since Microsoft joined the invisible American corporate hand is showing its face in the gaming industry from not just them but EA and Activision, raping consumers every chance they get with costs. They'll find more costs next gen, guaranteed.

The big industry mindset started with sony, not MS.

If you don't believe me, just listen to their E3 1995 where they talk about how they want to hollywoodize the game industry.

and they suceeded....

I am not talking about the American profit scheme not "hollywoodizing" the game industry. Sony can choose whatever art direction they want for their games and make it as popular as they want and so can MS.

Lack of dislike =/= like

But yeah, they definitely get along better than any others. I hardly ever see a fight where a Sony supporter is not present.

Yes. We get together over coffee and read through N4G to laugh at the more special section of the Sony fanbase. Didn't you know?

Not true, Sony expanded the market.Sega consoles never sold that much to begin with when you look at the amount of consoles they've shipped from generation to generation. The Genesis was pretty much it for them and even that couldnt properly compete with Nintendo. Before Sony entered the console race home consoles were frowned upon and Nintendo dominated a console race that at best commanded ninety million consoles. When Sony entered the console race they increased the userbase to two hundred million consoles and solidified consoles in the media as potent multimedia electronics. Sony saught respect for gaming consoles,and gained the respect of the wealth of third parties at a staggering pace. Sega was in a downward spiral regardless of the existence of Sony. Nintendo was butchering Sega and Sony showed both how you create a dominant console and stay ahead of trends, because after all they were a hardware company. You pirate their format, they'll just make another one. Microsoft at that point was notified of Sonys market dominance and the increase in the size of the gaming market and saw the console industry as a visible threat to their multimedia dominance because of their then monopoly over PC OS and was talked into making a console to cut down Sonys marketshare.

If you think that all the 3rd party games that the PSX got but the Saturn didn't would have simply evaporated if there were no PSX you are delusional.

The moment that the Industry mindset that Sony introduced to the industry took hold, the "corporate" strategies that companies do today became inevitable.

This is one of the reasons that Microsoft and Nintendo fans like each other more than Microsoft and Sony or Nintendo and Sony (at least in this forum). The problem is the fanatism that blind the people.

I'm Nintendo fan since 20 years ago, but I'm a video game collector too and have consoles from all companies, yesterday I was playing Uncharted 3, what a great game! I can play and enjoy all the games in every console, for some people is impossible to do this.

I think so. Microsoft fans and Nintendo fans often team up against a greater common enemy - Sony fans. They come to their disagreements sometimes, but in general, whenever Sony is involved, it becomes the primary target from both camps.

I personally think this alliance must end. It's simply not fair. Sony fans must fight both groups! Oftentimes, simultaneously. In order to defeat Nintendo and Microsoft fans, we have to break their bondage first. Let our enemies fight each other, and then we can easily pick apart the remains.

I don't think it means what you think it means... :P

I can't lie. I'm not sure what it means. I just thought it was a synonym for bond.

*searches "bondage" on Wikipedia*

Results - bondage is the tying, binding, or restraining of a person for the sexual, aesthetic, and/or psychological pleasure of the parties involved. Rope, cuffs, bondage tape, self-adhesive bandages, or other restraints may be used for this purpose.

:o

*processing*.....

The term is used accurately! >:)

lol xD that would explain the friendship between MS and Ninty fans alright.

When Sony fans aren't looking they get dirty together :D

I LOVE ICELAND!

From observing these forums for the past year I've discovered the following things...

--> Sony fans hate Nintendo
--> Sony fans hate Microsoft
--> Microsoft and Nintendo fans like each other

No, I don't like nintendo fans and it seems to me that they don't like me either.
