All the false claims of racism we constantly hear about makes it much harder for any real cases of racism to be taken seriously.  Anytime I hear of a claim of racism I now assume it's false.

maybe the game should just include a cheat to turn off textures then everyone is happy, or at least I would be as I love the option to play games with only flat shaded polygons.

The blog that started this all was trolling in the first place. My first clue was that the next day they posted about the response, and they hand picked which comments to quote to make it look as though everyone was calling the blogger a bitch, when less than a quarter of them were like that. They completely ignored the intelligent responses.

My second clue was other posts on the site, which rarely link, and post inflammatory language.

So in short, that blogger didn't really think RE5 is racist, she was just using yellow journalism.

It could be consider racist because you are killing people that used to be killed, slaved and considered inferior due the color of its skin. In history there have not been any other race that received the same kind cruelty throughout the ages; that´s why that in previous RE games there have not been any polemic;.... you are a white guy/gal killing white guys; that´s it. But in this RE you are a white guy killing black people by tons; and that also is kind of showing some "superiority of the white race" or at least that is what some people could think with the game.

The most of you that thinks this racist issue is very stupid; it´s because you are white, and think that because in other games you kill hundreds of white guys it should not be a problem to kill hundreds of black guys in the game, but you are wrong due the fact that white people have not suffered any kind of discrimination or humiliation.

I don´t consider the game to be racist, but it could be considered that way because it is resembling what this people have suffered, being considered as savages and many other "bad" things.

I heard its being developed by the KKK. It's not only racist agains blacks, but also gays, asians, etc.
