Sony, Nintendo and MS don't have sales trackers guys.

So when they reveal black friday sales, they mean shipped. It doesn't mean they all sell, and since NPD track sold-to-consumers, there can be some difference here and there, since it's not likely they have sold every single console shipped.

Only Wii U number can be considered accurate, imo, since it's was sold out during that week.

$50m software sales less than expected seems rather heavy though. Assuming our numbers are correct and taking out the Nintendo Land sales, they expected twice as much sales ?

They have... all numbers showed for now are inline with the Black Friday numbers released from Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft.

Wii U: 427K
360: 1.26m
PS3: > 630k
DS: > 350k

That makes no sense. Those companies arent going to ship their console the week off blackfriday. Therefor they wouldn't have any knowledge of such figures then. They would only be able to comment on monthly numbers if anything since BF is at the end of the month and they would be shipping starting at the begining.

So the ps3 is overtracked by up to 87k using vgc numbers. Will have to wait for numbers to see how much it's overtracked.

Last year the ps3 sold 895k, so the absolute maximum it will be down YoY is nearly 30%.

What do you base that on??

1.26/2 = .63

.72-.63 = .9

No i get that but you are assuming PS3 sold "1.26/2 = .63"

Which is wrong. All we know is that PS3 is above this but below 900k (last year numbers).

Its obviously not close to 900k but PS3 could very well be at 700k, 710k, 680k, 650k etc. so how can you claim PS3 is overtracked by that much? It makes no sense.

Pretty sure they said that the Black Friday sales data are based on internal estimations. Obviously that doesn't mean that they're 100% correct, but I don't think they were talking about shipped numbers.

I agree. I was just saying what he based it off of

Nintendo

"Wii U: Following its launch on Nov. 18 and with only seven days of sales captured in the data, Wii U sold more than 425,000 units, nearly matching the Wii system’s first-week total of 475,000. On the software front, New Super Mario Bros. U sold more than 243,000 units, an attach rate of nearly 60 percent.

Nintendo 3DS: The platform kicked off its second holiday season by selling nearly 540,000 units and has now sold nearly 6.5 million units life to date. Additionally, Mario Kart 7 became the second Nintendo 3DS game to cross 2 million units sold in the U.S.

Wii: In its seventh November, Wii sold 420,000 units and has now sold more than 40 million units in the United States alone.

Nintendo DS: In its 97th month overall, Nintendo DS sold more than 370,000 units and will cross 53 million units sold life to date in the next few days."

GAF have Wii U at 427k... maths on spot.

Seems like my predictions are pretty reasonable.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
