I can believe those PS3 and PSVITA sales. Hopefully they are undertracked.

Seriously, nice reality check. |
Vita did great. It gained a whole .1% in 1 week.
Wow, Vita sales are daaaaaaamn terrible! Worst than PSP's last year BF!

really DS? |
That's what happens when you release a new pokemon game for your previous handheld right before the start of the shopping season.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

"Far Cry 3 is coming soon. It won't be huge, but should sell reasonably well. Other than that, there isn't much left to release. This year you'll see big sales for Blops2, Halo4 and AC3"
Yeah and it looks like Black Ops 2 has better legs then MW3 already....
yeah AC3, Halo 4 and BO2 will be the top games for the PS3 and Xbox till past X-mas...

IMO the first year of sales for the Wii U (when the PS4 and XBox 720 are not on the market) will impact third party support in 2015, and the following years will impact 2016 and beyond. As a guess, I would expect most publishers are primarily focused on cross-generational development for 2014 at the moment (design around PS3/XBox 360 and enhance for next generation consoles) and if the Wii U sells well they will continue this strategy into 2015. For 2016 (and beyond) sales of the Wii U have to be strong enough to justify it being the lead platform, or sales for the PS4/XBox 720 have to be poor enough to disqualify them as the lead platform, to continue this kind of strategy; which is possible but difficult to expect without knowing anything about the PS4/XBox 720. |
You know, I started out hopeful regarding Wii U, but the more I hear the less enthusiastic I get... If it's to get 3rd party games after 2014 it has to become the leading platform, and that requires good sales, and good sales require good (and many) games, which Nintendo will provide, but to become the leading platform they also need 3rd party games. Nintendo games can only move so much units (22m to be more precise). This doesn't bode well...
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

So you think it will do 700k+ first week there? This, while Nintendo said they would allocate the most units to NA, where it sold only ~450k? |
Why do you say it "only" sold 450k when you know full-well that it was SOLDOUT?
Hard to say how much would have sold if there was unlimited supply, but don't judge sales based on supply constraints.

Vita needs Monster Hunter.
It's official, Vita is a flop no matter how you look at it, it's underperforming in every level possible. Wii U had respectable numbers. Furthermore, alot of its software launch titles were available on Eshop day 1 so maybe a 10-20% more to be added or no?
Great numbers for 360 and WiiU Software, especially Mario and ZombiU, proving a market for the hardcore. Hopefully this will be capitalised upon...
Poor Vita. Need I say more?

hard to say but i think people who buy a new console buy the games directly with the console in the shop and only people who already own the console will download games in the future.
