I would agree, but ''dramatically'', definitely not
but sure CoD looks better on WiiU, and the frame rate is fine...

I can agree with that to an extent. I've heard complaints about how Assassin's Creed has no split-screen multiplayer, but I know for a fact it would be ruinous. In fact, now that I think of it, Wii U would be a pretty decent platform for, say, two-player local matches if Ubisoft actually felt like implementing that feature in the Wii U version of an AC game.
But really, the option to not have splitscreen multiplayer for CoD is not bad by any means. It could add a whole new layer of "holy crap where did you come from?" aspect that actually might make it even twitchier. But hey, it's just an option dependant on the preference of the persons playing.

You make a poster feel like shit when you say things like "I bet you haven't even played the game" and "You don't understand what local MP is", as if I've never gamed in my life. For once why don't you just keep rude comments like that to yourself? I don't just think, I pointd you to the god-dammed DF article for reference. But for some fucking reason you pretend it doesn't exist. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-black-ops-2-wii-u-face-off Where Treyarch deserves credit is for the expansion to the local multiplayer options, specifically in terms of split-screen. While the standard two-player mode of the existing console version is supported, the Wii U has an excellent alternative: discrete screens for each participant - HDTV output for one player, GamePad for the other. |
I don't see them calling it more fun...do you? Adding an option is fine and dandy and the developer should be applauded for that. My initial Q was how it is more fun for which I had to bring up what makes local split screen COD MP fun for you to understand. Don't mean to make anyone feel shitty really...not gonna sugercoat it either.

There's nothing to sugar-coat mugen. You're not the only gamer on the forums, plz that has to be clear to you.
Here is the other part of the article that points to it being an added value (ie more fun, it's a video game after all):
Still, on the plus side, the multiplayer component of the game has emerged unscathed - if that's your focus, and you're willing to be patient for the online audience to grow in number, Black Ops 2 on Wii U is still worthy of consideration. The game also illustrates rather nicely the application of the GamePad for a new form of split-screen gaming, while tablet mirroring really is a sweet feature that we hope more developers embrace.

oh without a doubt. As I just told happyD, having more options in gameplay is always a great thing and the dev should be praised for that. I just don't see how that option would make it more fun and would entice the COD crowd as the initial post I was referring to would suggest
I admit I have not played much of AC Multiplayer to judge. But from what I have played and seen you are absolutely right...I can't see that game benefiting from local splitscreen. (I have not played local..had no idea it wasn't splitscreen)...I see that game more simiar to something like UC3.

yes..and if it's too hard you can always use the ctrl + F to try and find the word 'fun' in there. >_> Seriously you are MAKING me respond like an asshole sometimes
your initial statement was how this would entice those who seek a more fun local MP in COD would go for this version and is what I questioned. You directed me to an article and it says no such thing. Heck this is the first I have even heard this argument.
and just because I questioned if you have played THIS franchise in local MP...doesn't mean I discredit you OR the fact that there are other games in this site...talk about being dramatic. Heck I KNOW there are much bigger COD fans on this site. It was a really simple question for which you are over reacting.
Refer to the conversation me and fox had. No issues but an exchange of ideas. And i can respect his arguments against mine with no problem

^You were rude to ME, so don't bring up this FOX convo in respect BS.
If I came up to you and said "I bet you never even played it", with zero backing to your claim, you can be sure as hell I won't reply in composure. You pissed me off!
If the DF article doesn't make it clear that it's a feature and an added-value, hence a selling point, dude, ------- I don't want to reply.
yes..adds value = fun. Gotcha. I have no solid argument against that solid notion.
and if someone asks me if I have played something I would say yes or no

Just a few days after the Digital Foundry article, he couldn't have timed it better.
