Don't start the download/update and it will do it in the background. Once you done using it for normal use, you can go to Download Manager and choose option to have it finish download and then shut down (will also do the install).

aha so that's how it's done!

its updating now though not 10% left

it took me about 30 min

i'm buying a new PC first and i obvioulsy have a PS3 but he WiiiU does tempt me,if the price is right next summer i think i might jump on,the way nintendo do online this gen appeals to me
