I don't think we can really judge nihilstic as I don't think they've ever been given more then 12months to develop a game lol. I think people are putting too much emphasis on the fact that this games single player is lacking, the single player could be entirely non existant and it would still have the potential to be a massive hit. Sony should have delayed it till march and provided a solid stand-alone multiplayer experience for COD fans, and sold it at such a price. 

But we should all wait for week one numbers, both for the game and the Vita hardware. Even though the game is below standards, the COD License in time for christmas could be enough to really make some casual gamers look at and even purchase the Vita as impulse buy. Plus the tv spot for the game actually looks good, so they could easily be decieved by that. I doubt they read reviews, I'm sure some mum is going to buy the Vita+COD bundle for their 14 year old son as she knows how much he likes those games.

I was under the impression that being reasonable and not blindly loyal to a company makes one a fan rather than a fanboy.

sony made a bit of balls up really,if they had managed to pay/make sure they got even a half decent cod game on the vita surely it would have improved sales in the west,if they aren't going to get big names on board then what are they going to do

the PSVita is set to be put in the BOX WITH THE ps3 to make it a copy of the WiiU experience, it was never about the PSVita being a gamers handheld, With Smart Glass also being released, once again Sony can copy other's innovations and make some money in the market. It was never about making a viable choice for the Mobile game handheld market, why else would Sony price the PSVita @ $299.00  two hundred and ninety nine dollars, two hundred and ninety nine dollars its really over priced for the market, why price it like that when the memory cards are also way over priced, did Sony think the brand strength would not suffer more? do you think Sony is in a Sado-masochism mode right now?

they must be with every failure, after failure after failure after failure in a row, how else do you explain it does Sony really want to be in this market anymore?

maybe they are just tired of this market and maybe they may downsize further to the point of  non viability of any market!
