I think it might be the best and most original innovation of this generation. We'll have to see how it takes hold next generation.

Innovation? GameTap and other all-you-can-eat for a flat rate game services of the past decade say:

"Hello there! We beat PS+ to the market by a huge margin, had a lot more games, and nobody said we were original or innovative! *sob*."

Don't get me (too) wrong, I am contemplating getting it for Vita, but it is not original *or* innovative if those words have any actual meaning anymore.

The inovative part is that you get to keep the games. After Infamous is taken off PS+ I get to keep playing it as if I owned the game. Granted it relies on me staying a member but since I plan to renew for the forseable future PS+ is nothing like renting. Instead Sony gives me two free games every month to play whenever, that is the service.

As long as you kept paying for GameTap, you got to 'keep' the games, too.

Nothing like renting.... but you loose the games if you dont pay.

Yay!!!

We've been throwing around the words "best" and "greatest" an awful lot, lately.

Gametrap has a library of games, that's it. With PS+ I have games that new members don't. I get to keep playing the game even after the opportunity to get it disappears, that's the revolutionary difference. Is it actually better to the consumer? No, not really apart from price but it sure does an excellent job at keeping people signed up.

well no,probably in sony land,it was certainly worth my £30 for the year and if i see another offer i would stack which is what sony is looking for i guess,as usual i'll say i wish they threw in some of the movie side with a rental a month

PSN Plus is a cool idea, but I wouldn't say its the best.

This isn't really related but I seen some posts talking about it so I decided to throw in my words.
If you think PSN will be free next gen, then you're crazy. Sony has noticed how successful Microsoft has been even with pay-to-play service. And with the current position Sony is in, it wouldn't make sense for them to pass up the Xbox Live "business model"

Hahaha you're crazy. I bet you a thousand years of sig control that next generation basic online pay will be free on Sony's system.

It isn't predictable and I have a PC, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360 and iPad to split my time. Also I have a limited download like 90% of the world which isn't U.S.A. and it doesn't give me enough to download many 15+GB PS3 titles.

Tease.

I'm not a Plus subscriber and doubt I ever will be. I think it is a fine service but I simply do not have the time (or the interest) to play all of those games.
