Only 6.3 for ZombieU from IGN. Mediocre "Red Steel" type launch title confirmed unfortunately

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Jim Sterling seems to like it though, especially compared to the other games :P

Reviews for ZombiU and Scribblenauts seem to be either very good or very bad!

I just watched Greg Miller's video review on IGN.  He said the combat is clunky and you'll be using the cricket bat like 90% of the time, which gets really repetitive after awhile.

Also, even for a launch title, the visuals don't impress at all, considering that the game looks on par with many early PS360 titles, and those consoles are 6-7 years old now.  Bottom line is that it's not a good thing that a game built from the ground up for a brand new console looks worse than ports of current PS360 games.

and then eurogamer says:
"Any more than one zombi makes the bat next to useless, and firearms just attract more attention. It is this rhythm of a controlled engagement escalating beyond your means, often thanks to the bad decisions made while trying to deal with it, that turns an otherwise rudimentary combat system into something special."

Both of them are saying the same thing but IGN says its bad and Eurogamer says its good. Its not as simple as "is this a good game or a bad game". Its much closer to "is this a game i will like or a game i wont like" and that decision can't be made by anyone buy you.

Wow, ZombiU reviews sure are all over the place. I liked what Jim had to say about it, including the negatives. Looking forward to trying it out for myself.

If you like survival horror games you will like ZombiU. If you like Left 4 Dead style games you won't enjoy it at all. That seems to be the trend with all the reviews.

You heard it here first folks.

8/10 and 8.5/10 medicore

I said mediocre. Bad would be below 70. I also said Mario is alright. With more reviews I am sure the scores will go up. Europe seems to be hard on Nintendo games.

In my PCZone influenced world, excellent is anything more than 89/100, with only timeless masterpieces getting more than 95/100, bad is below 60/100, with really awful ones receiving 20/100 or so and the dreaded "Pants Award"!

Anyone get ZombiU yet? I would love for some vg guys to say what they think so far.

I have the title and played it for awhile. Its a good game. Though if you are expecting a fast paced action game, you will be sorely disappointed. You have to take it "slow" and thing things through and avoid when nessary. I'm currently at the first horde attack even then it's not run and gun. You have to run through rooms close doors behind our and try to get the zombies to seperate and take them out on at a time. Also the Zombies cann get throught the doors so don't think you are safe with a closed door behind you unless you have barricaded it, but usually you will not have the luxury of doing so. I would give it an 8/10 from what I have played so far.

The best game I have played so far is Nano Assult Neo it is definatly worth the $10. I would give that a 9.9/10 just because I don't like giving perfect scores.

How does it compare to the 3DS rev? Differences?
