7/10 from OPM!! Wth

hitman goty confirmed

Unless that one is rather "OK" too in which Mass Effect 3 is more likely.

Or if they actually count Journey ... :P

yeah mass effect has an awesome metascore but it is for ps3 and 360 and pc so potentially more people to vote for in comparison to let's say halo but don't customers have to vote the goty? because they didn't like mass effect 3 so much haha

and hitman was more a joke because jay used the opm score to hype it even when he said they overrate every game some weeks before. but who knows...

The worst thing you would want is Call of duty as a GOTY, imagine.

That is not particularly unlikely even at this point.

The blandness of the footage shown during the E3...if that game gets GOTY then looking at GOTY would be a joke.

lol so apparently less good than ACII and Brotherhood ?

I find it slightly odd how it seems to be totally ok for the PS3 versions to have several extra missions, and let us be honest, we all know why.

But when... that other company does it, its suddenly an outragous and filthy tactic...

Anyways, personally don't care about that, OT: Final meta: 90-92 I think.

Its ok for PS3 versions to come with more stuff because the PS3 has more disc capacity to fit more stuff on it, which Sony encourages devs to take advantage of, hence the reason they used BluRay in the first place. One of the most aggrevating things about this gen, when many PS3 owners heard that BR had such a large capacity to fit larger games, we expected to get just that. Instead we get games that get capped due to trying to meet requirements of the "lowest denomonator"  consoles.

MS actively works against the possibility of bigger games. They charge game devs more for using extra discs, and they also have contractual road blocks to stop devs from giving PS3 exclusive content. So yea, when devs actually take advantage of what is actually available to them it does make us gamers happy.

yeah sure that must be the reason why MS inreased the 360 disc size by over 1GB >.>

Basically your whole post is wrong. The majority of games have lots of free space left on the discs that are simply unused. DVD-9 is enough for 99% of all current gen games.

AC III's singleplayer disc is filled with 6.8GB worth of data. Still 1.15GB left which is easily enough to include the extra missions, which are combined one hour long.

Most games are only that small because 360, being first this gen, has set the prescedent. Why do you think MS had to decrease the size of their security stamp on disc? Because too many of the Devs were giving them grief about not being able to fit their games on the disc, so having to use more discs, then lose money on sales for doing so. It has only ever been acceptable for RPGs to fill multiple discs seeing as they offer the most content for your buck. Now when Shooters....are taking up multiple discs for a system, THAT is a PROBLEM! MS realize they couldn't evade this forever so they opened up more space. You do also realize that filling a disc , or any storage device completely causes loading problems. You never want to actually use every bit available, it will cause slowdowns.

as if those games would be bigger otherwise lol. maybe some rpg's to have 3 discs and not 5 with all that cgi stuff but other games would never be bigger even with a bigger disc for 360. games are so small nowadays because developers realized it is enough to sell millions of copies and bigger games would just need more staff or time which would cost more money but wouldn't increase the sales so they make the games so small. even the small games nowadays cost incredible amounts of money, bigger levels with more costs would kill all those developers who are all on the edge to stay alive right now (which are like all)

take cod as example, it's shorter and shorter in single-player and that's because it's still enough to sell so much. the disc isn't the reason why mw3 was smaller as 2 was smaller as 1.

but i still think it's funny how you posted all of that in this assassin's creed thread because of the extra content when this extra content is not even on the blu-ray and has to get downloaded. so you were totally wrong, the extra content has nothing to do with the disc size.

Some reviews are even saying it's the worst home console Assassin's Creed since the original. Damn.

Also, it seems Liberation is doing even worse.

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

I guess reviewers got a taste of the true assassin (Hitman) and realized that Assassin's Creed was mere child's play. OPM and OXM clearly agrees with me.

OXM Asscreed score: 80
OXM Hitman score: 90

OMP Asscreed score: 70 (Dayum!)
OPM Hitman score: 90

Asscreed average: 75
Hitman average: 90

If you want to play the superior assassin game, the choice is clear. All rests on Hitman now for Goty.

Wtf is happening here? I wanted to jump into this franchise with this and Liberation and now suddenly they both kinda suck (yes, hyperbole)? God damn my luck.

I'm really curious now if the U version can bump up the score with added gamepad functionality and maybe even a little better graphic (draw distance)?

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Halo 4 is going to win GOTY by default. This is crazy, but I doubt that game will get any competition this whole year. 2012 has been a disaster when it comes to expectation. Regardless, I'm glad I am playing Assassins Creed 3. Theres no way COD is winning GOTY on principle and I doubt Far Cry 3 will get through to many people even if it does turning out to be really good.

Alert: thread broken by the amount of doom!

The power of Wii U and Vita combined!

DOOM squared!
