yeah sure that must be the reason why MS inreased the 360 disc size by over 1GB >.>
Basically your whole post is wrong. The majority of games have lots of free space left on the discs that are simply unused. DVD-9 is enough for 99% of all current gen games.
AC III's singleplayer disc is filled with 6.8GB worth of data. Still 1.15GB left which is easily enough to include the extra missions, which are combined one hour long.

Most games are only that small because 360, being first this gen, has set the prescedent. Why do you think MS had to decrease the size of their security stamp on disc? Because too many of the Devs were giving them grief about not being able to fit their games on the disc, so having to use more discs, then lose money on sales for doing so. It has only ever been acceptable for RPGs to fill multiple discs seeing as they offer the most content for your buck. Now when Shooters....are taking up multiple discs for a system, THAT is a PROBLEM! MS realize they couldn't evade this forever so they opened up more space. You do also realize that filling a disc , or any storage device completely causes loading problems. You never want to actually use every bit available, it will cause slowdowns.

as if those games would be bigger otherwise lol. maybe some rpg's to have 3 discs and not 5 with all that cgi stuff but other games would never be bigger even with a bigger disc for 360. games are so small nowadays because developers realized it is enough to sell millions of copies and bigger games would just need more staff or time which would cost more money but wouldn't increase the sales so they make the games so small. even the small games nowadays cost incredible amounts of money, bigger levels with more costs would kill all those developers who are all on the edge to stay alive right now (which are like all)
take cod as example, it's shorter and shorter in single-player and that's because it's still enough to sell so much. the disc isn't the reason why mw3 was smaller as 2 was smaller as 1.
but i still think it's funny how you posted all of that in this assassin's creed thread because of the extra content when this extra content is not even on the blu-ray and has to get downloaded. so you were totally wrong, the extra content has nothing to do with the disc size.
