LOL at ME3 being a ripoff! At least use the right word, say its a waste of time and effort, but dont say its a ripoff, if you dont want the game, dont buy it.

"Waste of time and effort" implies that it was never going to sell, which it once had the potential to do, before EA made it into a ripoff, by believing they can fleece Nintendo gamers with 1/3rd the content for all of the cost. Ripoff.

It was never going to sell because they released teh FINAL game of a trilogy, while the other 3 has received or will receive all three. It was doomed for failure the day they announced it. Its still not a ripoff, that doesnt make any sense Mr. Khan. To be ripoffed you would have had to buy the product in question, which no one has done.

I think they're probably waiting to see about the Wii U. They don't have as much faith in it as some other companies appear to, but if the system sells well, and games like ME3 and Arkham City are successful, they'll probably go ahead and develop a Wii U version.

Anyway, good news and hopefully it can stick to that date.

ME3 isn't going to succeed. EA is making damn sure of that.

And that's where we see the underlying brilliance of their plan (worthy of a B-grade movie villain or so): put ripoff "core" games on the platform, know they're a ripoff, watch them tank, and there's your and everyone else's excuse to avoid the platform.

Brilliant in its insidiousness.

@ kitler. Plenty of development kits were out there. I'm sure if Rockstar wanted one, all they had to do was ask. But that would, of course, involve talking to Nintendo, which is the greatest  shame aside from developing for one of their platforms (the unthinkable taboo).

Still better than the guy from Quantum of Solace!

But I think this is a little bit tinfoil-ish. They're not looking for reasons not to develop games on Wii U; it's not like they really care about what Nintendo fans think.

They just don't want to risk putting in the money and effort to make a good game on Wii U which could potentially sell but could also fail miserably, so they're making a lame cash-in instead, with the hope of wringing some revenue out of it. This is nothing new.

The excuse isn't for gamers, it's for investors, who will wonder why they're ignoring 1/3rd of the market for no good reason. This will give them a reason.

I can understand why the Wii U version is not ready for launch, however, I think R* has an underlying $elfish motive. Obviously, the Wii U version of GTA V would be far superior to the PS360 versions, so instead of releasing it side by side, they want to capitalize on idiots, I mean consumers, to "DOUBLE DIP". Also, had R* announced a Wii U version for a later date, then many would have opted to wait for that superior version.

However, I see through this evil business tactic and will not bite. GTA IV was my fav. and most played game of this (past) gen, but I do not give a mother****, there BETTER be a Wii U version or I won't buy. Don't **** with us now, there are no excuses.

This is the thing though man. If they have mass effect 3, batman, ninja gaiden, assassin's creed etc. they should have gta by default. Lets say for a minute I believe nintendo have to 'prove' a point. Gta is the game you use to prove it. Not the game you receive for proving it. When you are after a "mature" audience rockstar are the first people you get on board. If they don't have gta they shouldn't have bothered with anything else. That is why rockstar are so heavily clamoured. They are pretty much the face of that part.

I personally believe a wii u version has long been in development. They just don't have the resources to put to it properly yet.

This is me looking at it entirely from a business perspective on nintendo's part. Nintendo have really shot themselves in the foot if they failed to get anything here. It would have probably been more beneficial to look to konami or square enix instead.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D

The attitudes/opinions of some people in here absolutely astound me. Why the fuck would Rockstar be "plotting" and "scheming" the downfall of Nintendo? Its ridiculous.

so in your mind it is up to R* to ask nintendo for dev kits not up to nintendo to get 3rd parties dev kits?!?!?  wow.

nintendo is the platform owner and it is their responsibility to make it successful.  simple as that.  it's exactly the same with vita, i don't blame capcom or thing they are holding a grudge against sony or any stupid BS like that due to their decision about MH.  that's capcom's choice.  it is capcom's duty to it's share holders and employees to do what's best for them.  it's not their responsibility to make the vita a success.  as a vita owner, the decision sucks, but i'm mature enough not hold a grudge.

Well the other option would be to think that there is something that nintendo does wrong... that can't be.

Also your post might be considered "saying less-than-nice things about nintendo fans", which could lead to a ban.
