I haven't been compelled to play MoH since the PS1 days. The motto for that game was "Prepare for your finest hour". Who know that the game series would reach it peak so soon.

I just kind of like them. I am pretty pacifist person in real life but i blaze through these games in one or two sessions. I finished MW3 in 5 hours non stop. Also it is one of those modern games that did have a proper ending. Kudos to them for that. You get the dude you were going to get and that is it. Bam. 

Black Ops was bit different as it was my first Treyarch game. I really enjoyed the voice over my Gary Oldman as Reznov. The twist at the end was pretty nice too. Also all the cutscenes are in engine. Can't say that for lot of games other than those made by Valve. :D

good... so before the holidays start this game will be cheap and a perfect gift to people I don't actually like..

I have MOH Warfighter and think its great minus the few bugs. The menus are alittle clunky but after a few hours you get use to it and its not an issue. Its not like call of duty ,its a 2 player team game. Black ops 2 looks just like the original black ops with a facelift to look futuristic is essentially the same game. You ask me MW2 and Black ops are the last 2 great games activison made. Moh warfighter focuses on 2 player team based objectives and pulls it off very well you ask me. I have been waiting for a game with just 2 people on a team 4 people like battlefield 3 and bad company 2 becomes annoying unless you mute the other 2 people you dont know. This game does have some bugs and the voice chat works but i'm still trying to figuire out the channel system. This game just needs a patch but it pulls of the the 2 player action i have been craving .Its a hard game but very fun. The maps are a mix of old and new going back to medal of honor airborne there is a couple of maps that give you that feel. The first moh reboot was ok and I liked it but warfighter beats it in every way. These reviews are not accurate in my opinion. This game is awesome if you have an open mind and some patience.

Warfighter may deserve these harsh reviews but what pisses me off is that in a couple of weeks these same 'critics' will be deep inside Activision's ass praising another piece of regurgitated feces.

Considering we are going into a crowded holiday season with AT LEAST Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 on the horizon, it wouldn't be surprising.  Homefront released during an off-time of the year, with less competition, if I recall correctly.  Heck, there is also Far Cry 3 on the horizon also, and Borderlands 2 already hit.

With the Call of Duty brand, they keep pushing the franchise in directions people want  They have a large enough user base, that gives sufficient feedback, that they then implement this.  They usually do a good job.  Heck, they keep getting me to buy every year, and I am likely going to be passing on Halo 4, which looks competent also.
