This is exactly what I'm talking about.

we know what you are talking about but it is probably not what the mass effect guy meant. just because there is an ea label on the game doesn't mean there has to be something bad in the words of that guy!

Well no duh, once again.

Of course that isn't what he meant. What dev in righ tmine is going to say they will lazy. I never meant that was what he was saying.

I'm saying that you can accurately intperpret his words as that in the end result. They have already shown it by not enhancing the port of ME3.

yo can "duh " as much as you want to people here that doesn't make it more right what you always read out of statements from companies you dislike.

and what he did with the game doesn't change what he said  about the architecture and how this is awesome because it is very developer friendly and will reduce time and money costs for many developers in the future (compared to a potential wii u with bad architecture) and with that the architecture gives them a bigger part of the time/money they have to really invest in the games development and will reduce the part they have understanding how to develop the game for the console.

So... Nintendo is lazy because New Super Mario Bros. U won't be 1080p? ¬_¬

Why isn't Nintendo using the full power of their own console?  If it can easily output anything at 1080p, why aren't they giving the example?

Oh right... The same answer over and over again, right?

That is a different matter altogether. nintendo are making multiple games for the system at once and they make their games to the limit that they see fit.

If they ported NSMB Wii to the Wii U and left it at 480p then I would say that they are doing what this studio is.

ea also doesn't port a wii game with 480p to wii u, they only port the games to wii u which have the same resolution then as the exclusively for wii u developed games from nintendo. that makes it a little bit different as how you say it. why does a porting studio have to make a ported game better as nintendo making their brand new games for their own console?

nintendo will also profit from other games sales (like from mass effect), console sales and equipmemnt so it should be much more affordable for nintendo to invest more in the first games even with a small userbase as it is for a company who will only make money with their games and if the userbase is still small they will lose some money if they invest too much in the games.

Unless there's more than in the OP, there's no evidence that they are not enhancing it from the 360/PS3 verisons, just that it'll be 720p. Even the PC assets don't improve much going from 1280x720 to 1920x1080. Higher texture filtering, greater FPS and forcing different anti-aliasing are what improved the PC version greatly over the console versions. They haven't said anything to suggest that they haven't improved any of those features over the original console versions.

Scoobes, do you know if Rayman Legends will be full HD?

They aren't enhancing it because this is contract work.    EA gives them the art assets already made plus the base code and tells them to port the game.

They can't enhance it to 1080p with art assets designed for 720p.  And they can't redo all the art assets becuase that would put them way over the budget EA gave them (or the cost they bid the work for).

I haven't read anything specifying the resolution. Why'd you ask?

If i were them i'd be super-bitter that EA just invalidated whatever amount of time they spent on that game.

Yup.

They either need to make this a $30 game or should have just skipped it all together and put out the trilogy on Wii U as well. Especially if it isn't very hard to port to. Maybe even delayed it to Dec or Jan to get the trilogy done.

But $60 game when a full trilogy on other consoles is releasing for $60 is just a rip off.
