It was never with them.

I lol'ed at this and i like what Soundwave said

look what is said about the autor of that article  lol:

" About the author: The Sheep is a die-hard Nintendo fanboy. Having grown up with Nintendo games, he can’t imagine how anyone can not like Mario and the classic Nintendo franchises. He owns a full collection of Nintendo plushies which he poses accordingly. "

it's gotta be a joke article then. If it isnt, then dear god.

Now more sales means less success! What's next, Vita a bigger success than 3DS?

Plus it is rated lower because it left Nintendo, yet at the same time games are rated low because the media hates Nintendo.

Awesome thread, lol.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

I took the info from this video demonstrating the costumes on the GC. Though wiki says that it didn't have them...strange.

"However, it does feature an increased frame rate of 60 for FMV movies and enhanced 3D character model graphics."

I don't know what to make of it.

All versions have those costumes, the Dreamcast and PC have even more costumes.  The better character models (really just better resolution, no changes to them at all) are also in DC and PC, however backgrounds are better on PC and DC.

I'm pretty sure that nothing (graphically) on the DC is going to look better than on the GC. Where did you get this information?

Well the GC ports are ported from PS1, the DC from PC.  But these are games from a previous gen on new gen machines, comparing graphics is silly at best.  They pretty much the same, though some people believe the DC is better, the backgrounds for RE3 certainly are, the only real argument is character and enemy models.

it's common knowledge that the GC re's are enhanced ports of the ps1 game better graphics and all. no need to argue.

All this is funny, considering that the PS version of these games have outsold its counterparts by a usually large margin. Hell even the 360 version of RE5 outsold RE4 for GC

Aliasing *drops mic*

Also, the textures are definitely better on the GC. There character are also less blocky.

Aside from using crappy quality youtube videos, if you go to the actual youtube pages of the videos you embeded you would see the DC video was a widescreen video, while the GC was not.  Given the game is not widescreen, the widescreen recording is distorting the picture, voiding any point the video comparison has.  Aliasing?  Yeah, you'll get that real bad stretching a picture.

Here is a decent quality RE3 DC vid recorded from a non stretched image, and looks much better.

I own and have played heavily every version of every RE game ever released, in most cases owning several different regions releases of them.  You're not going to get away posting false info or dodgy videos.

Yeah, that defintely clear it up. It doens't just have aproblem with aliasing, but it lacks anisotrophic filtering as well apparently(the textures bend unnaturally like PS1 games). The texture bending doesn't occur on the GC. Its also more rounded like they added polygons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ex2ar_tO75g&feature=relmfu

Oh, look what I found for RE3 on wiki "and enhanced 3D character model graphic"

It is a PS1 port, they didn't do anything to the character models.  Whoever put that on wiki is talking out their ass.  The game looks slightly better on GC than the PS1 because it running on better hardware, same as when it runs on DC.

Umm what? A game cannot look better just because its running on "different" hardware. What you are talking about is a direct port. If it WAS a direct port it would look and run exactly the same (with maybe some minor unnoticeable framerate differences because of processor speed and such) but in this case it was an enhanced port meing the software was optimized, graphically enhanced.

I've recently played the horror that is Resident Evil Racoon City...this series has fallen far.

If only Capcom did not betray Mikami by selling out to Sony.

everything you said so far is truth. I don't know why so many people are blind to that (well I don't want to say fanboys are blind and get banned lol) but either way Capcom is a funny company. It seems they don't use common sense sometimes. If they still had Mikami, the RE games of today would be STELLAR and not average/below average (minus a few games, Revelations for 3DS is actually a good game). But besides that when you're the head of a big company all you think about is more people = more sales = port. So I can see why they port, I just don't see why they single out certain consoles from certain games.

Btw what is Mikamin doing now?

ports don't usually sell as well anyways since most poeple who would want the game already have it. your second point comes to no surprise seeing as how the 360 has what like twice the install base of the GC with probably more of a harcore base anyways.

yeah your right, they dont usually sell, but last i checked. RE4 PS2 version killed the GC one and even the Wii version killed the GC one (not the PS2 one). And the PS2 version of CV killed the DC one. Funny you say Capcom doesnt think sometimes and you are right. RE4 kinda had no buisness being an exclusive to GC in the first place, why miss out on sales and buisness, because this Mikami guy feels a certain kinda way about SOny? It's good that Capcom came to there senses and said "why the hell are we not putting one of our triple A series on the best selling console by far?" We can go all day about poor Mikima leaving and how it hurt the series, its all irrelevant. Money talks BS walks.

"you're" not "your". and once again in this situation seeing as how the ps2 version came out only a year after the gc version, there is still plenty of audience (we can now label the gc version of the game a timed-exclusive) and seeing as how the ps2 had like what 4-5 times more user install base than the gc it's no surprise that it outsold it. Ps2 also had a much larger install base than dc and Wii has a much larger install base than gc.

And its pretty common knowledge that RE4 is better than RE5 sooooo whats up?
