Forums - Nintendo - Puddle Runs At Full 1080p & 60 FPS On Wii U

Ok... so they're saying that it retains the 1080p resolution AND the 60fps... of the consoles versions.
But... somehow, the graphics must still be better... is what you're saying?

No, I'm calling that statement as a whole into question for the simple fact that its stating "both" as being 1080/60 FPS when there are only a handful of 360 games that are native 1080p and they are mostly either 2D or use simple Xbox1 level graphics.

I think that writer was just stating that arbitrarily, because I actually "looked" for the information on the PS3 and 360 versions running at 1080p 60FPS and I found nothing that states this.

I'm not the tpic of this thread. Puddle and its running 1080p "and 60 on two screens is. I've yet to see anyone post anything stating specificaly that the PS3 and 360 run at native 1080/60 FPS.

Don't care about all the other junk in this derailed thread. Instead I'm wondering what the Wii U dispalys on the second screen. Is it the exact same video, a map, or something else?

It seems to be showing exactly what you are seeing on the screen.

So it hardly uses any extra resources. Basically the only thing this thread proves is the Wii U can handle simple ports from the HD twins without a loss in graphics fidelity. Cool, but not impressive like you are trying to make it.

Like I made it out to be? I haven't made it out to be anything more than the best version of the game.

Also the game pad isn't running it's in 1080. Just 60 frames a second. Why you need the game pad for this game is beyond me. Whats the point in running two screens showing the same thing?

I said that...

They said it's the best version because they added what the fans wanted. Not because the visuals are better. So really it's all down to opinion.

But it's the only link from this whole thread that mentions the resolution of the previous versions at all.  For all the links you had not a one mentioned the resolution of the previous versions, just the resolution of the Wii U version most likely because it was included in a press release.  I've looked and I couldn't find anything definitive about the resolution/FPS of the PS360 versions of puddle either, so this is the only evidence we have for one way or the other.

No, I'm calling that statement as a whole into question for the simjple fact taht its alluding to "both" being 1080/60 FPS when there are ony a handful of 360 games that are native 1080p and they are mostly either 2D or use simple Xbox1 level graphics.

I think that person was just stating that arbitrarily.

There are a few native 1080p games on XBox Live and PSN.

Most of them are on PSN and XBLA. Sonic 4 being a good example. Puddle isn't a game that is graphically heavy, so I don't see why you would doubt it runs as smooth on the PS360 as on the Wii-U

Then how has this thread lasted 13 pages? Everyone agrees the Wii U version is the best form of the software but you are arguing it is better by a lot while others think it is hardly better. It combines the features from the Vita version and PS3 version. Seriously does it matter if the Wii U version is 15% better or just 5% better?

Actually, if you go back in this thread a couple of days...

I am, at this moment, playing Puddle on the PS3 in 1080p 60fps.

And just to clarify, there was no upscaling involved.  I'm not even using a monitor capable of upscaling, and the PS3 does not have hardware upscaling.  The point I was trying to make is that your main focus of trying to make Wii U look more graphically capable, as far as this game is concerned, is complete bunk.  Outside of talking about Puddle is another conversation for another thread.  You didn't even know that there were a bunch of native 1080p games available on PS360, and you attempted to state otherwise in previous posts.  There's nothing wrong about being excited for Wii U, but before making such claims please try to be more informed about the other consoles, that's all.  I'm just trying to make sure that people aren't being misinformed by threads like this.  Puddle on the HD Twins is 1080p, and Puddle on Wii U is 1080p.  Same same.
