I'm sorry but the posts above you have already debunked that to the fullest. The fact that the 360 comparisons always use the nonstandard controller casing and only from that one absolute angle shows that they are trying their hardest to make it look like something that it isn't.

I'm not sure why you're showing me the back of the Wii U Pro controller, but what I do gather from these pictures is that even the triggers on the Wii U pro controller are the same shape as the 360 ones.

No, they are the same as the Upad which is the based of the DS and Gamecube controller.

Mmmmm no, the Gamecube controller did not have the 360's trigger design, where the secondary triggers are rectangles at 90 degrees to the primary triggers.

Just like the Dreamcast where it got them from.

Yes quite right, but you claimed it was inspired by the Gamecube/DS design, and now you've changed your tune! Interesting!

QFT. You have to be blind not to see how badly Nintendo ripped off that controller. The 360's controller would be the perfect controller if it wasnt for the D-Pad.

??? I said the Upad was isnpired by the DS/GC controller, not the Wii U Pro controller. The Wii U Pro was inspired by its own previous revision. The only difference is that it has the button layout changed to match the Upad. Unless the Upad is a copy of the 360 controller then no, its not using the 360's design. Its using itself.

No, they are the same as the Upad which is the based on the DS and Gamecube controller. The core shoulder button concept has been the same since the SNES.

Personally, I'm still going to use the old Wii Classic Controller Pro because the design is way better than the new one.

lol You're emotionally attached to Nintendo aren't ya?

Nope. I'm a born and raised SEGA fan, but since they don't make consoles anymore,  Nintendo is the next best thing.

To call anything a copy of the Xbox controller is an insult because its  acopy of the Dreamcast and GC contorllers. That design was never original.

Well...Microsoft was working on Segas online system for the Dreamcast. They did get close their hardware. Of course Microsoft copied it, and if you dont notice the resemblance to the old Xbox fat controller someones blind or in denial. The 360 controller came as consequence to the orignal Xbox controller having to be redesigned in body and form. The Xbox 360 controller was and still is the most ergonomic controller ever possibly ever made. Id put it ahead of the Dual Shock in ergonomic points even though I like the Dual Shock more. The Dreamcast controller was the most clunky Star Trek vessel I'd ever seen until the original Xbox controller. The Wii U pro is as close to a rip off as any consoles controller being ripped off has ever been.

If we're talking about the triggers (which we are) then yes, the trigger design is a copy of the 360 controller, or even the Dreamcast one as you correctly pointed out, take your pick

Please show me how the Upad copied either one of them.

Ah, we're confused.

I pointed out that the Wii U Pro controller's triggers are the same design as the 360s.

You said: "No, they are the same as the Upad which is the based of the DS and Gamecube controller."

I pointed out that no, the Gamecube did NOT have the same trigger design (neither did the DS)

You then correctly said the Dreamcast controller infact had that trigger design on which we are arguing (the one on the Wii U Pro controller) before the 360 controller had it!

Conclusion: it must be a copy of either the DC controller or the 360 controller's trigger design. Simple

I only compared the Dreamcasts trigger design to the 360 controller. The UPro controller was only compared to the Upad. Then I stated that for Upro to be a copy of the 360's shoulders buttons, the Upad would have to be a copy of the 360 controller,  since the Upro controller is, once again, just the Classic Controller Pro with the Wii U button layout. I demonstrated that well at the top of this page.

The triggers on the Nintendo controller are thick and flat like the GC triggers which predate the Xbox1. The ones on the Xbox and DC controller are curved.

I hope you didn't think you could convince "me" that my own words were different than what I stated.

Im with Sal here.

We've come to the conclusion that the Dreamcast controller inspired the initial design of the Microsoft Xbox controller, but the skeleton changed. Microsoft evolved the design and Nintendo took it to compel the gamers. I will be getting the pro myself, but that doesnt change the fact that I own the 360 and know what the controller looks and feels like.
