Forums - Nintendo - Nano Assault Neo Offscreen Gameplay Video [demonstrate screen switching]

I am so excited for the new Nano Assault Neo game coming to the Wii U.  Below is some offscreen gameplay video of the game.  The video shows off GamePad features and also shows the game running completely on the GamePad.  As you will see in the video below, on the GamePAd you will be able to rotate the mini-map to see where the enemies are located around you.  Additionally, on the right side of the GamePad screen you will be able to control the spread of your projectiles, this feature isn’t really showcased very well in this video as it is cut off in the very beginning of the video.  And then last but not least, Nano Assault Neo is quickly and easily switched from the television to running fully on the GamePad and then back again.  The transition between the two modes is seamless and with negligible load time.  You can see all of these features for yourself in the video below.

The co-op possibilities (and possibilities in general) on Wii U are so cool!

Same room co-op (or competive) multiplayer without split screen is something amazing!

and one extra

I'm a fan of Shin'en; they make fun little games, they are incredibly talented, (they're like a 5 person team yet they turn out better technical results than teams of a hundred) and they're very friendly and open when emailed. I've spoken to their head, Manfred Linzner, via email several times.

The game looks nice, especially as it's their first game on the hardware, and uses about 20% of the system's power according to Shin'en.

Just a port of the 3DS game, but...
Ugh! Screen switching via menus? Imagine someone suddenly changes the TV channel before you switch.

I would have used the dedicated TV button for this, hold it for 5 seconds and the screen is in your Gamepad. And by just making it a hardware output option it could still be compatible with Wii software (plus make the gamepad control inputs compatible acting as CC).

Im excited for it. I loved their first game for the GBA. I remember them looking for a publisher for it and planetgamecube, now nintendoworldreport, and IGN helping the cause.

So it's Super Stardust but inside the human body? Could lead to some interesting stages. Reminds me that I'd love to see a Trauma Center game on the Wii U.

Seems like it, but not confirmed. The Wii U version has an extra co-op mode confirmed. There is also the 3DS eShop version Nano Assault EX which is "based on the original release but with new game modes & options".

Question is touch screen or motion controls.. or maybe switch between both on different levels.
