Yeah I really like the art, I don't know about savior though.

Savior of the PS3 that already been purchased by JRPG fans.  Those PS3 are very close to be thrown away

So, in a country where 80% of households DO NOT HAVE BROADBAND INTERNET, and most households pay for their dial-up on a minute basis, more people are going to download a multi-gigabyte game over weeks than are just going to walk out to the store and buy it?

You know how fast the PS STORE is in japan?

On dial up? I don't know ... 56k?

Basically 60 hours for every Gigabyte of data, at even $1 per hour you would end up spending hundreds of dollars to download that game.

In terms of the popularity broadband internet service, several countries in Asia are way ahead of North America.  South Korea and Japan are among the list.  Where did you get that idea of 80% of households (I assume you meant Japan) do not have broadband internet?

@Soriku

This is an example of how fast the PS store in Japan. 586 MB in under two minuttes. I didn't mean to do advertisement for CAG, just like to show you the video proof.

Cool looking game, but nothing can stop Nintendomination in Japan. I mean Nintendo has such a monopoly in Japan in the gaming market right now, that even Square Enix software is struggling. Quite a grapplehold Nintendo has right there now which is both great for them, and bad for anyone else.

Square Enix is just fine, and so is the PS3 in Japan.

This game looks awesome to me.  I think it's an example of art direction being able to do more with more hardware power.  More hardware power always allows art direction to do more.

Enlighten us. You don't even live in Japan. How would you know how fast it is?

well you can create an account for japan,my friend has created one even though hes in america

hah, Soriku.

I also have a UK and Hong Kong account.  Those are both English, and Hong Kong often has stuff Japan gets.

No MGS4, ZOE3, SO4, GT5, FF XIII, FF Versus XII, DMC4, KH3 (PS3).

Those games will let the domination of PS3 begin in Japan, not this game. It probably will sell well though.

Currently, Zone of the Enders 3, Star Ocean 4 and Kingdom Hearts 3 have not been announced for the PS3 ... Metal Gear Solid and Devil May Cry are not that big of series in Japan, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue has performed dratically worse than Gran Turismo 4 Prologue, and we still don't know when Final Fantasy will be released.

Considering the last 2 Star Ocean's were on PS1 and PS2...well, I guess we'll see. Again, KH 1 and 2 were made by the team making FF13: Versus, which is PS3 only...but hey, we'll see...

Every Metal Gear sells 800k in Japan. Not bad.

So far 200k have bought GT5: Pro. Only 800k of GT4: Pro were sold. Can you verify for me that 600K have not downloaded the game (or did you forget that we have that tech now for every system but the Wii)?

FF13 most likely in 2009. but hey, that date hasn't been "announced" either, so perhaps you shouldn't assume obvious facts yourself.  maybe it will make 2008 in Japan.

Can't.  But you can't verify it did.  By best data available around 100K copies of GT5:Prologue have been downloaded.

You can inflate that to 600K if you want but that'd be silly without any indication other then you think it should sell better.

^the download most likely havent made it to 600k

Wasn't 20%?  I thought it was 1/3rd.  Maybe it was 20% though.  Hence why i can't find the 1/3rd press news.
